TGIF!!!
Not sure I am happy it is Friday, all that means is that it is one day closer to having a house full of people that I need to feed and make welcome. And first, the house needs to be cleaned. That is my goal for the day: to clean the kitchen, LR, DR. I finished the gnomes yesterday and the cards. That was a relief but darn it, I feel like I am missing *something.*

Whisky was not happy at the vet, I warned her she was going to get stabbed a few times but did she listen? Nooooooooo and then when the vet took out the syringe, she freaked out. Poor sweetie. She survived and got some special treats when we got back home.
My day was so chopped up, people kept calling me, emailing me stuff that had to be dealt with. I still haven't heard anything from my friend which is making me wonder if I did something wrong? Not that I think I did or that if I did, she would ghost me. She loves Caitlyn who babysits for her so if she had a problem with me, she would lose Caitlyn too. I am just rambling.

Wishing all of you a happy day!

Kay- I bet you love that cooler morning temp. I wish we would get back to the 80s. I should be happy with the 70s we are having, in another few weeks, I am going to be complaining about it being so much colder. Apple Crisp Morning- that is a cute way to describe the weather.
Ooooooh between you and @Cherylndesigns, I am going to get mad!!! Stop overdoing it!!
Take care of your back, hope it is better today. When I was younger, I was so much more organized. I had plans, I had lists. I knew what each day was going to bring and how I was going to deal with it. Who would have thought in million years that I would find it harder to stay on track when the kids were adults?
ROTFLMBO! You sound like my mom. She has so much stuff in her purse that it is like she is weight training when she carries it. Her change purse alone weighs a ton!

@mywisecrafts It is never a good idea to take my advice... :D

@taxed4ever Yikes! I am relieved that Heather's power wasn't out for very long and I bet the boys had fun with a PJ day! Are they back in school today? Your hike really sounds wonderful and beautiful, do you have any pics to share?

Esther- follow Trudy's lead when it comes to planning and organizing, look at her, she already made her first Christmas Card. T- we need to see a pic of that too!

I am going to tell you something and then you are free to laugh me outta town. Don't worry about the baseboards, no one is going to notice if the paint is not pristine. (Are you done snickering at me, being 100% hypocritical? hahaha!!!)
The sympathy cards are very pretty. You do amazing work and they will be treasured.

@tanteva Good luck on the road trip today. Please give Marten lots of pets and snuggles from me. Wish I knew how to help with litter problems.

@Cherylndesigns This is exactly what happens when no one listens to me. Even though I told Esther to NOT listen to my advice. You all should know when to listen and when not to listen! bwuahahahah!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D
When in doubt, listen to Ava. *nods*
It is very possible that Braxton and his lady friend got into the wine that she was standing near. Tex is very cute but keep him away from the whiskey.

Eva-- sending more hugs to you and please tell Urban to drive safe!

xoxo

Morning everyone and Happy Friday. It is a clear blue sky morning but a bit chilly out there. I am meeting two friends for lunch today we all went through elementary and high school together. How fun to still have friends from our much younger days! We all grew up not far from each other and went through swimming lessons all together too. Along with all the other fun things that were going on in our little town. Lots of great memories!! Each of us of course has a sad story, one friend lost a son to suicide, the other went through a nasty divorce, and me with the sadness of Heather's illness. Oh well we all came out on the other side of it and are living each day as best we can. It will be great to catch up with these ladies all of us now 65 years old, who would have thought we would still be in touch.

@faerywings - Chris I sure hope you hear from your friend soon! It must be a bit of a worry for you! That is great that you got the cards and gnomes finished off! Good for you! Now all the cleaning to do today, your place will be spic and span for all of your company! The one card with the Bunny Rabbit on it is actually my first Christmas Card, although I suppose it could very well be used as a sympathy card also. I hope that you have a fun filled weekend! Mine will of course be very busy with loads of chores to do with my Gary LOL.

@tanteva - Have a safe drive home with your kitty and your hubby, it will be a long and late evening for you all!

Good afternoon all.

It's 1 PM already. I've got a lot accomplished. I took a shower and washed my hair - that was a lot of "fun" only using one arm. The girls would have washed it in the kitchen sink if I'd asked them to. AGAIN - I'm not good at asking for help. I got er done, by golly. It feels so good! I only brush it before I wash it - never any other time because it turns my hair into a bushel basket. So, I even did that with my left hand. THAT is one big job to brush my LONG hair out and with my left hand to boot.

Chris @faerywings I'll bet those ornery skeletons DID nip that wine. Tex is going to have trouble getting to one one bottle of Jack - it's sitting way up high on a shelf because Roger is the only one who drinks it. Now, my wine, on the other hand - he'd have to open the fridge - he COULD do it. They're sneaky little things. BWAHAHA

Ava laughed so hard at the pictures, Chris - especially of the two skeletons trying to get up on the roof. I showed her Gary's FB pictures. Oh, and the band, too. She loved looking at all of them!

Love to all - hugs,

Good day - well the rain stopped and no real flooding. Lots of thunder and lightning and Luther was not happy! And now today is gorgeous. Had blood taken this am for my physical next Friday. And they are requiring masks even in parking lot. OK by me. And then came back and took Luther to doggie daycare. He was not happy. Usually my DH takes him on Friday mornings and this time it was me. He talked to me the whole time there. It was too funny. And now he will probably be even madder when he is given a bath and nails trimmed. Im sure he will talk to me the whole way home. It is a good day for a walk.

@faerywings Chris I am sorry about your friend but I sure would love to have a fairy come clean my house. Sorry about Wiskey and vet. Luther does pretty well.

@taxed4ever Trudy you are so lucky to have friends for so long. That really is special. Glad the hike was so spectacular. That is a good group. You make fantastic cards. Glad that Heather's power came back on. Sorry about school. But good for the boys to have fun!

@tanteva Eva that is a lot of driving. But glad that cat is being released. Have a good evening.

@mywisecrafts That was an interesting question about Christmas cards. I have made my own but what I really like to do is Christmas letters. I know some think it is just bragging but if the family or friend live far away I think of it as just a newspaper. And I love newsletters from others.

Kay congrats on the purse. My favorite things to buy are purses. Purses and socks. Rest you back!

@Cherylndesigns Cheryl your skeleton is too cute. I hope you get two arms soon.

We got home just after 10pm. Been watching a couple of episodes of Sopranos, while Mårten got to wind down & realize he was home again. He's been eating & drinking & been to the box, so all's well so far. We think he's a bit high from the meds, cuz he's acting a bit weird, other than that he seems to be fine. Got some meds for him & it feels like he's going to be like a full time job the next couple of days.

Now I really need to sleep!

Hello my darlings,
I took few days off from internet, to make this dopamine detox that everybody talks about and that's bool***, I missed so many things on IG that I'm totally mad now!!! You know how the Murphy's Law works, you can have whole month of boring stuff and in the moment you plug off the most exciting things will happens without you.:eek:o_O So I had to catch up lots of things this evening!
I thought it must be good idea because: at first I'm listening so often for the benefits of day away from the social media. Second sometimes I'm getting overwhelmed by all the sad things that people feels need to share. It's important for me to be supportive, but too often this lowers my own vibration. And third reason was that the autumn start so lovely so I wanted to be out as much as its possible. I definitely not sorry for the third reason, but for the other two I think the key is to filtrate better my contacts instead of this nonsense for completely cut off.

I was unplug from everywhere, so I'm not being at O too, so first and most important:
Eva, Mårten's diagnose sounds serious to me, what are the prognosis they gives you, how long he will be on meds? Poor baby, sending you healing vibrations!

Chris, I think you dramatize it and your friend will have some silly explanation. But will be so spectacularly rude if not want to see you anymore and just ghost you :p, I hope Cait to revenge properly ! Hope that you will be able to distance from these thoughts and really will have some fun at the party!

Nancy, oh Luther is such a cutie!

Trudy, it is commendable that you are person who can keep so long friendships!
