Happy Friday everyone! This week went by crazy fast. It might feel that way to me since I don't have a 9-5 type job but however it works in my little world, it feels like it shouldn't be Friday yet.

I cleaned a little longer than usual yesterday. I got a text from my friend that she forgot to leave an envelope for me. She is having some issues with her DS and that poor lady doesn't get a break. I ended up staying a bit longer, folded up all of the throw blankets, pushed some of the laundry baskets into a row-- just so when she walked in it looked a bit more organized.
I started to scrap a page and an I am almost done. I think I should be able to upload it this morning.

My mom is coming up so I can do her online Christmas shopping for her. You all know I adore her but she is one of those people who should not have a computer. She doesn't understand how links work, how searching works, and after a few hours of this, I know I am going to lose my patience. Happens every year. *nods*
At least she knows that her brain isn't wired for technology and understands why I get frustrated and doesn't judge me

Hugs!

@taxed4ever I feel the same way, I haven't been a good Cheery O either.
I am happy that you are getting our for walks and hikes but had to laugh at seeing the dumpster in the ditch. It reminds me of the meme:
th

What a nice time you and your friend had after the hike too. Good thoughts on getting all of your groceries. It seems like we are in for another wild ride between the weather and COVID cases increasing. I saw that a lot of the EU is having a big increase which means we're about 3-4 weeks behind.
GAH!!! MEN!!! WHY??????? The dahlias couldn't wait a few more days? *eye roll*
Scott showed us a few more trees last night. We can't afford the prelit trees which is fine, I like lots and lots of lights. I know it is going to be a skimpier one but as long as we have one I am ok with that. It will be nice not having to try to get everyone's schedules synced before we make a day of it.
You are doing great with the calenders too!

@BrightEyes yay for that sleep!!
Is your knee feeling ok after all of that walking? So smart to do the errands while the weather was warm. I still need to run the ones I bailed on last week when it was pouring rain. I might try to do them before my mom gets here.
Last year's tree dried out really fast and I didn't keep it up much after Christmas for the same reasons. I know I am going to miss the smell though

@bcgal00 You are one brave woman, letting the dogs play in the mud. LOL Is Remi a good as Taz in the bath?
I am LMBO that Remi prefers to chase her food, her working dog genes are *strong.* Taz probably thinks her behavior is undignified. :D
How long do they expect the roads to be closed?

@Cherylndesigns Bet you had a nice time scrapping the pages of you and Chuck.
The chicken pot pies sound yummy and good for Adrienne making you eat.
We have been lucky that Scott and Caitlyn were able to work through many of the challenges that they had. It isn't easy. Sorry to hear that your G-son is still struggling.

@tjscraps Fantastic news that the Dr was able to get the test scheduled for your DH. Good luck!!!

Hey @tanteva hope you are feeling ok, we miss you and your sarcasm!

Yikes... woke up at 4:30AM and couldn't go back to sleep! But since I fell asleep at 9PM, I did get7 1/2 hours of sleep so shouldn't complain too loudly. :p The good thing was the full moon was still up in the sky and I got a couple of photos of it. The 1st was taken in the backyard and the 2nd in the front yard. You would have LOL to see me in my fleece PJs and socks taking them in 32* weather. At least the wind was calm! I did notice that there was a ring/haze around the moon... hope that means we might get a bit of rain soon.

And remember I told you about the crazy tree next door that was half feeling the fall and turning colors and the other half was like it was still summer??? Never saw this happen before. Guess you could say it had a 'split personality'... hahaha Here it is:

IMG_2430snaller.jpg

I did manage to get the CT LO for Fab Friday done and posted finally. GGD #2 can be such a hoot... and she has 'attitude' bred into her DNA!!!

Managed to get into the family chat yesterday evening. Was having problems getting in on DH's computer so finally got in using the old laptop. DS#2 made it in along with DD#2 and DD#3... so good to talk with them all. Looks like we will be going back to the old day and time next week. I liked it better.

Well the good news is that the knee is feeling much better today. I am able to bend it without much pain and not limping much when I walk. Yes... Yes.... Momma Chris... I hear you saying "Now don't over-do just because it is feeling better!" Plan on staying off of it as much as possible today. The turkey is slowly thawing in the fridge, so will be baking the pumpkin pie and cornbread and preparing part of the dressing tomorrow; then doing the turkey on Sunday. My mouth is watering already! hahaha

@faerywings If you really miss the smell of a real Christmas tree, get a few cut branches and put them in the house. I would wait until the week before Christmas to get them so they were fresh, tied them with a big bow and put them on a shelf in the living room. I also have used a hot-pot with evergreen fragrance when I didn't get the fresh branches. Not quite as good but gave the hint of Christmas to the air. Good luck with helping your mom do her on-line shopping. You are such a caring daughter to do that even though it is a bit frustrating to both of you.

@tjscraps Great news that your doctor was able to get DH's test scheduled right away. Glad the Doc followed up to see what the hold-up was on the test.

Off to get my shower now that the house is warm enough. CYL

Good morning ladies. Got lots of work done yesterday, that was a busy day. Today is a bit easier and Jen is coming at lunchtime with Bella so I'll take a long break from working to hang out. I won't need to take the dogs to the dog park since they'll get lots of exercise running around the house together. The grocery stores are crazy, emptying out just like at the beginning of COVID. The floods are better in some areas but in others there could be a big disaster if they can't repair the wall to keep the water in the Sumas area contained. They figure they will have to sacrifice up to 12 homes in the process of rebuilding the barrier but it will save hundreds of more homes and they need to get the highway functional again. What a mess. Food delivery may be spotty for a bit but I don't think it needs to be a complete panic like it has become with hoarding and emptying out shelves. Walmart is one of the worst, shelves are bare. Their whole meat dept was picked clean, as was the toilet paper.

@faerywings Sending you patience vibes for your online time with your mom. Hope the shopping goes well. Remi does great in the tub now b/c I got a lick mat that I put peanut butter on and she'll stand in the tub forever now as long as she can lick the mat. Taz loves it too. They stand side by side and lick away :)

@BrightEyes Glad your knee is feeling better today.

I've got laundry and work to get started so off I go....
Have a great day everyone.

Hi ladies... in and out of here in a hurry again. DH took the day off and we are getting busy with the yard right away. Tomorrow we will be at the In-Laws doing the same kind of work. Beautiful sunny day today, but a bit chilly! Fresh snow on the mountains and this morning the moon was bright and beautiful over the Lake! We are off to get our flu shots after lunch and then I am going to hit the local "Christmas Chaos Craft Show", I will see what I can find for some cute prezzies for Isaac and Sadie. Pretty much all done with gifts for Mason and Hunter, whew that is a relief! Oh and wanted to tell you all that my teeny tiny paintings were sold yesterday! I was so happy to hear that! She wants me to bring in more stuff, but I simply don't have the time to anything done that quickly and no idea as to what I would paint??? I will be better prepared for the next one hopefully! Got a pre-release layout done this morning and yesterday I got page 8 finished on my calendar. Hooray!!! Four more to go. Hope they come together quickly!

@faerywings - Good luck with your online shopping trip with your Mother! So nice that you help her out with that! Sending you lots of patience and understanding!!

@BrightEyes - Wow that tree...Isn't it the strangest thing?? You are making me drool over all those yummy things that you will be baking! Got room for one more at the table?? LOL. I just love cornbread, but sadly it does not love me back and my stomach would be giving me grief!! Glad to hear your knee is feeling so much better today! Yes please take it easy!

@bcgal00 - Rae isn't it just crazy how people are hoarding and emptying the shelves at the grocery store! I was lucky and got pretty much everything I ordered online, except for ground chicken and chicken breasts. All the other stuff was healthy veggies and some berries and fruit for DH. Guess the hoarders aren't interested in healthy choices LOL. Hope your afternoon visit with Jen!

Ok I am off to the front yard to do some raking and tidying up, shouldn't take too long and then off to get my flu vaccine. Have a great Friday everyone!

Good afternoon, my lovelies.

I just finished up with a LO I started last night. Other than that, I've done nothing. LOL Adrienne came down for awhile and had coffee.

Kay @BrightEyes those pictures are wonderful! I can just see you outside at 4 am in your pj's. Totally something I would do. Nobody sees anything we do, though. Hahaha That's one good think about living in the country.

Trudy @taxed4ever that's so awesome that your teeny tiny paintings sold! I think people like little things - I know I do. They make good fillers.

I guess there was a lunar eclipse - The Beaver Moon? It was night before last. I usually keep up with those but I spaced on this one. Kay @BrightEyes was that the moon you saw? I just read that it showed up in different ways in different parts of the country/world. My grandson, Braden got this humungous telescope and I'll post a picture he got. He figured out a way to photograph what he sees through his telescope. He borrowed my Nikon - he got some really great pictures on his iPhone, before that.

Chris @faerywings good luck with your mom and her shopping. I need a megaphone emoji right now - I finished my shopping!!! I don't have a couple of gifts in my hands yet, but they're enroute! Now, I'm ordering for other people. LOL My youngest DD wanted something for Asher, so it should arrive there today and Adrienne had me order 2 things for her today.

I MIGHT start wrapping - things that can be stacked in the closet. Cameron gets her in a few days and it will be busy + Alyssa's bd is the 24th. Then the Christmas activities will start. I want to get somebody to go up in the attic this weekend and bring my Christmas stuff down. I think I'm going to get Braden to help me.

Waving to all.

Hello girls!
What a messy day! I'm mad and furious. As we don't celebrate Thanksgiving day (which is kinda sad as see this is mindful holiday, not as Valentine's day and Halloween! Witch the commercialism tries to popularize here via the american movies, even when we have other traditional holidays on the same dates. The thanksgiving day date is free, but nooo, we don't celebrate it AND again because of the commercialism we still have Black Friday :eyerollingemoji.), so the marketers are free to put Black Friday at which friday they prefer and today was the day. I'm wake up early and browse online stores checking the list I got and trying to finished my Christmas shopping. I need just few final touches, but NO, totally disappointed I wasn't able to find what I need on the price I'm waiting for. :(
In addition we've got message that the book which my sister was order for her gift to me is cancelled, and now she have to pay 3 time more expensive delivery and VAT taxes, so I just give up and got it on ebook. First I wouldn't pay that much for delivery when US people get it for free, this is shameless discrimination!!! It couldn't someone who work for $15 per hour to get free delivery and for me the cost of this book is my daily income, but I'm happy to pay that as I really adore the author, but to pay also delivery many time more than the cost of book itself and free for richest clients, NO WAY!!! Not in this life, baby ! But that's mean that now my sister left without Christmas gift for me, and she also is mad (to this bookstore concretely and to the fate at general), as now will have to start gift shopping in the last minute. I still have few wishes in my list, but again did we want to risk with international shipping, definitely not! I have this weekend to figure out what will do, or will got just a random sweater! Everybody need sweater, after all, this is universal solution.

I just adore how today everyone speak for Christmas! It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Chris, my mom is also like that! I hope that you had more successful shopping than me!

Kay, these photos are awesome!

Rae, hope that you are safe and the weather will cooperate! Ho sad for these people that will have to sacrifice their homes! Hope that they aren't hereditary property full with emotional meaning and will can be compensated on fair price!

Trudy, congrats for the sale of your painting, will be wonderful gift for someone! Good luck at your shopping too! OMG, I never finished my calendar for the current year, what a shame!

Cheryl, bravo for finishing your christmas shopping! Traditionally we don't decorate before December 6th which here is the holiday that gives start of preparation. But with the crocheting gifts this year I'm already turn on Christmas music and festive mood!
