Let's start this thread with some :friday: cheer!
Wait. Hold up. We can't have any Friday cheer if we don't have coffee *first* and boy oh, boy, this Faery needs some of that, STAT.
:coffeedrinker:
And some more
:coffeedrinker:

That's better.

I heard something yesterday that freaked me out. The radio was on in the dr office waiting room and the announcer said it was two weeks until Thanksgiving. :thud: I don't want to believe it but the calendar doesn't lie. The bathroom scale- that one is a notorious liar but the calendar-- I find it to be reliable as long as I pay attention to it. *wink*

We got to the eye dr office at 8.30 and made it home by 10 am. Great news that Gary's retinopathy is still stable. Eye doctor wants to see him in 6 months again and if anything worsens, it will be fixable if caught early.
It was so cold yesterday that I felt it was time to plastic over the window in my BR and office. I had to stand on my desk to reach the office window so as long as I was up there, I cleaned the shelving, dusted photos, and took down the curtain to wash. Then I had to vacuum all of the dust and dog hair under my desk and then behind it. It's the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie version of cleaning LOL

My big cleaning plan today is to steam clean the carpets in the LR/DR. I feel like I just did them - I think I did, but the dogs have thrown up on them since then and Sam's niece and nephew will be here on T Day. I don't want them crawling around on the floor if they are gross.
After that, I *swear* I am setting time aside to scrap with this kit:

I took pictures of the chunkiest squirrel in my backyard this week, He is going to be the perfect subject matter. I also started the AJ Week two challenge but I am struggling with the topic of gratitude ATM.

Sending you all big hugs!!

@taxed4ever My goodness, your neighbor is a piece of work :rolleyes1:
You are kicking butt with the calendar pages. High 5s!
I forgot that I was going to make a wedding album for Caitlyn and Tom for Christmas. Do you think it is too late -- 20 pages in a few weeks? I did a few LOs for challenges. 3 maybe?
I don't know, it feels like a lot...
(maybe if I shut up, stopped stressing, and just scrapped, I would have more time... just sayin'..)

Oh yay. Stop stressing might be harder than I thought. Gary came upstairs and said that our furnace is leaking.

So happy to hear that the fire is getting under control! Sorry that there is so much more smoke though!! Any chance of rain anytime soon??
Nope. The next chance of rain is Friday the 22nd. :crying1:
It's odd that a campfire smells good when you are camping but smells awful when you are not. Everything smells so smoky and everyone's coughing. We haven't gotten the worst of it either.
A couple of years ago, several neighborhood mailboxes were vandalized and mail was stolen. My tax payment and many others were stolen. Didn't know mine was stolen until I got the 2nd half of taxes due in the spring along with a penalty for not paying the 1st half. When I got to the tax office there were about 10 of us there who all had their payments stolen. Now I always take my tax payment to the tax office and get a receipt . Glad they are doing the outreach program this year.
That's awful! I'm glad that you were able to get to the Outreach office instead of making the trip so far away.
Enjoy the library books!

M HERE!!!!!! ***drooling**** GIMME the chocolate and no one gets hurt. :giggle4:
Ok ok! here you go! :chocolate:
Did you get the snowstorm you were expecting? I'm sending you good thoughts for your work week, promise that you will take breaks when you need them.

:waving1 to all of you who stop in today! Enjoy the :coffeedrinker:

Yep, all better. Had my two cups and ran out of the house in a blizzard.

Yep, got it! Still snowing. They now say Sunday it will end. Was suppose to be done today but now they extended it. I'll see if I can get a photo.

Roads are super fun! Can no longer pull out in front of anyone. :giggle4: No more passing others. But its pretty! Thankfully everyone is being smart. Was a fun drive in almost white out conditions and dark this morning. Have no fear though, still in Birkenstocks!

Nothing like being a bit late getting in here today... By the time I got my shower and dressed, I only had about 30 minutes to head out the door. Got my pneumonia shot then over to grocery store to pick up a few things and the dollar store for liquid hand soap. Checked at the used book/dvd store but they didn't have anything I wanted. Temperature up to 64*F but the wind is blowing so it feels like 59F*.... Temps will be falling for the next week. Will be back in fleece sweats tomorrow.

@AK_Tracy Brrrrr!!! :brrr::cold::brrr: You are brave to be out and about in the snow.... Wait!!! Winter in Alaska means there is lot of snow all winter!!! Glad you are careful when out and about.

Just downloaded a new kit so need to get busy scrapping with it. CYL

Yep, not brave, just normal. If I didn't go out in the snow, my family would lock me up. :floorlaugh: I would go crazy. Looks like the snow might have stopped for the moment but were do another 4".

Chris I was so glad to hear that yoru fire is more contained, wishing it continues to improve.
Ours is still same but woke up this morning to my whole house smelling of smoke. Worse than ever, but i think it was the cold because as it started to warm up, it dissipated. Still no rain predicted until possibly the middle of next week.
Take care and be safe. @faerywings

Gratitude is a mindset.....there is always something to be thankful for in the midst of the struggle! Take, for instance, your cute little squirrel and that Gary's retinopathy is stable!!! :hug4:
