Welp. This is it. In about 2 hours the kids will be done. As I have been saying for a while, (a while?? Has it really only been less than 2 months???) this surely isn't how I expected their last semesters of college to end. Of course, I have plenty of company- people all over the world are joining me in this, as well as many other celebrations. All of the May and June weddings, can you imagine?
I guess I am feeling a bit moody about it all. And I have to tell myself that it is OK.

It was fantastic and strange to be part of Christopher's Zoom party. It was wonderful seeing him, I miss him so much. He is such a little goof! And 9! When did *that* happen??? My parents were there, my ILs, and the 4 of us. Little technocrat that he is, he was running around the house showing us things. Meanwhile, I was happy that I was able to get the app working. LOL
I am sure that Trudy knows what I mean, how the younger kids can do this so easily, it is like they are born with that knowledge.

Other than that, I fought with the Shop Rite website for a while. They screwed up the Search function pretty fierce. I searched for white rice and ended up with tuna fish! I had to add a few more things this morning and it was just as wonky. But I think I have it down and will be able to pick it all up tomorrow. What I don't have, I will have live w/o.

The weather forecast changed a bit and we might *only* get a coating to one inch of snow. :frusty: We are going to put a couple of towels draped on top of the bush and hope for the best for the baby birds. I guess we should do it early enough today so we can watch to make sure Mama can get in and out without a problem. I am sure she will let us know if she doesn't like the towel up there.

Like I said I am in a bit of a mood so I am going post this now.

Gratitudes:
- so proud of my kids-- what accomplishments they have made over the last 4-6 years
- Zoom so I can see my family
- my mom who is really being so proactive with her health. She has another echocardiogram today at a new facility and she was a bit unsure of it. She asked me the other day if she should call and talk to them and I said that they would probably be very happy to know that she is on top of it. She did, they did, and she is much more comfortable about having to wear a mask for the entire procedure. Last year, she wouldn't even have made the appt.

Hugs to everyone! xoxo

Nancy- This weather...... This is ri-dic-u-LOUS!
Luther is such a smart boy, looking for his Daddy!. The more things change the more they stay the same, don't they? I cannot believe that in 2020 there is still no ERA, that we are still fighting over Roe. And still no female President. I pray to all the gods that we have a female VP in 2021.
The sweet potato quesadilla sound really good, I have some more of them in my shopping cart and I might do half chicken and half sweet potato one night.

Trudy- Is Heather going to get snow too? How much? This is bonkers. I hope that she doesn't get any as well. The boys must feel cooped up as it is.
NJ schools are closed until Sept now so it wouldn't surprise me if most schools do the same. Although most countries are not f-ing up the response as badly as ours. :(

Hi Rae- so happy to hear that you and your family are doing well as can be! Hugs!!

Hi all
did a video chat with my 94 yo dad from the nursing home. Yay. Found out that the nursing home will tests all staff and residents for the Covid Virus!. All good news.

Had a great birthday- DD and hubby each bought me lily plant sto kill (I will I know) and DD bought me petit fours. I got flowers from my DH. Very nice! We ate take out together and went to the living room to watch the NFL schedule come out on TV. DD had to pump milk. She sat in the lazy boy, hooked up her magic electrical pump machine and pumped milk for 30 min while we all talked. You have to laugh at modern technology sometimes.

Today is lazy. Catching up scrapping.

Morning O-zies!! It is a sunny morning, but darn I wish the wind would just give it a rest already!! It's not terribly windy, but just enough to make it feel cool outside. I am going to pick up a grocery order today. To my surprise there were plenty of open spots for today, Hooray!!! I did not need too much in the way of groceries, heck our freezer is full, but I did need some fresh produce and cream for my coffee, little things like that. Tomorrow we go to Home Depot to finally get what we need to start working on painting the kitchen cupboards. DH is finally done procrastinating LOL. Next week will be rainy so it will be a good time to get busy doing that project!

CHris - It is so hard to believe that the kids are all done with this last semester of school! Sad that they will not be able to celebrate with everyone  I am happy to report that British Columbia has flattened the curve of cases of Covid19 so they will be starting to relax a few of the rules. I will have to listen to the latest news update this morning to find out exactly what that means. I can't believe that DT wants to open everything up again and put all of his fellow Americans at greater risk!! He and the Premier of Quebec should get together. Quebec has the highest number of cases and the most killed from the virus and he thinks it will be a good idea to open everything up again  WTH?? Ok enough of that :tape: So glad that you had such a great visit with Christopher and the rest of your family for his birthday!! Yes these young ones seem to be pretty smart when it comes to technology! Yes Heather is supposed to get snow tomorrow, what is happening with the weather?? She said usually they have the air conditioning going at this time of year. :mmph: Your shopping on line sounds really wonky!! Hope you get what you needed and not a bunch of stuff you will never use!

Rae - How nice to see your pretty face again!! You seem to be very happy scrapping and spending time together with your daughter and DH! Nice that you get to face time with B every night! Hope that you can settle into your routine and that soon all of this crazy business is over and done with!! Probably won't be until they come up with a vaccine and who knows how long that will take?? Take care and enjoy the sunshine!

Sharon - Happy Birthday to you!! How nice that you got to have a video chat with your amazing 94 year old Dad!! Sounds like you had a lovely day together!

Ok my face time is a go with Mason and Hunter and then I will try to get a hold of Isaac and Sadie and see how things are going with them. I need to get those cards done today. Actually scrapped a page yesterday and hope to do another one for one of the challenges today. Have a great day everyone! Stay Safe!!! gotta go!! :bolt:

good afternoon - We have walked Luther before the rain comes. Walked 2 miles today and yesterday was 2.5 miles so I am feeling good. I called our bread bakery downtown and ordered pepperoni stuffed bread and we walked Luther there. It was fun but he was not happy he could not go in. I got a few extras too cinnamon swirl and garlic knots. LOL Maybe this is why I don't go to stores that often I get extras. Last night I finally decided I had to go to the grocery store. I went late 8:30pm hoping not too many people and I was correct it was really empty. I found everything I needed but paper towels. I did get toilet paper so that was good. There was plenty of meat. But again I got extras LOL pillsbury sugar cookie dough. I love it right out of the oven. I got diet DP which was high on the list but no cans just bottles. But still good. I am going to used this weekend as its mother's day and not cook but I have plenty to eat so all is really good! After this it is back to being good. And after the snow this weekend knowing it should warm up next week is awesome. On yesterday's walk we went along a path Luther and I have never taken but my DH and Luther go on a lot but in the dark. Well he went recently and all along the path are these little fairy scenes. They are so cute. Now I will need to scrap them. So fun to see this creativity in our town. Our town is also debating closing the main street so that no cars and allow restaurants and stores to be more accessible and at the same time socially distant. I hope they can figure it out. Our downtown is within walking distance of most residences. Sure would help businesses and good for people.

Chris this weather is beyond ridiculous! I hope you get not a flake! But of course if you do it will be a record! LOL Glad the zoom party went so well. And yes kids really do just know how to do this stuff! Congrats to the kids and finishing college! That is such an accomplishment! You and Gary should be so proud.

Trudy I saw the raven on the board and the scrap page. gorgeous on both! Have fun with your FaceTime with the grands! Saw the Capitals terminated the player and the Manitoba University that the brother was playing for has kicked him off the team. Hope both can figure out how to change.

Sharon happy birthday! I too told my family not to give me real plants as I kill them. Good luck with yours. How nice to be able to talk to your dad!

Rae so good to see you. How nice you can connect with B every night. So glad that Noel is working out so well this time. I am still enjoying your photos on facebook.

Grateful my local stores are still open for pick up
Grateful to walk with DH and Luther

Wow... I am so tired - I just want to lay down and take a nap. Up at 6:30AM - dressed and at the base by 8:30. Only 2 people ahead of me to pick up meds so it only took about 10 minutes. Then over to the commissary [it opened at 8:00 AM]. Wearing masks, gloves and a fanny pack. The wind was blowing at about 35 mph and gusting upwards to 50 mph!!! Though I would be blown away before I could get from my car to the store. There were very few people shopping... go guess going early is the key! Managed to get nearly every thing I needed. I picked up the last package of TP but no tissues, santi-wipes, or liquid hand soap. They had a limit on 4 package of fresh beef.. or pork..or chicken. I was back home by 10:30 but was worn out by the time I got it all hauled inside, repackaged the meat and put everything away. Glad I have the garage so I could stay partly out of the wind - it was swirling into the garage and blowing things around. That set off my allergies big time.

Will try to pop back in later for personals... I need to lay down.

Hi dears!
With the good weather the good news also came! My country has 24 hr without victim of Covid! Slowly and timidly life gets back! It was long nightmare, or very boring vacation. Right now things are a little bit messy. Parks and playgrounds are open, cafeteria and restaurants which have tables outside, too. The sport schedule new dates and we waiting to clarify how other culture events will happens! Beaches and the pools are opened. With social distancing of course. So many people was excited and get outside, and our prime minister had to make breaking news and to remind that still it's not safe and people have to be very very careful!
My family will go to Saturday shopping at the capital, yey! We desperately needs from the right brands cosmetics, as while dad was shopping he always messed up the brand. Men! Honestly, I didn't miss this part of the regular life at all! So decided to not join and chose to excuse, as past few days I made deep cleaning of the cat house, and I'm so tired. Satisfied, even a little bit pleased, but so tired. I can't hide that I desperately miss the taste of irish coffee that only one of the big stores make. But it's really not worth it, so much nerves and preparation, for just a coffee. We tried different home variations with JACOBS Baileys Cappuccino, but nothing is so good as their! It's not with real whiskey, but taste as much as real irish coffee. Ughh, something upsetting is that now all places will work with disposable cutlery and cups, soo bad for the nature!

Chris, the zoom party sounds very good! Congrats for the kids finishing of the college! I'm sure there will be some big party for compensation when it's safe! So happy about the change at your mom's behavior!
umm, let birding girls to tells, they know better, but I have some memory that you shouldn't touch wild babies or they will been abandoned by the parents.

Trudy, ouch, this bad weather already gone here, so I hope to not stay for long for you too! In my opinion bad weather is the best in encouraging inside activities, so get fun! I love the Raven you must make series with wild animals! Are you paint on water cups?

Nancy, WOW 2.5 miles, lovely looong walk. I'm surprised from your enthusiasm to be out for so long in cold weather! As I told to Trudy I wish I'll be able to send some sun in your way too! Oh I'm so widely smiling about getting extras during shopping! :heh:

Sharon - Happy Birthday! :party::party::party:

Kay, hope you was able to get nap and feeling better!

Rae, I often think for you and your family, so happy to hear that all is fine!

Gratitudes:
sun is finally shining
things start to improve
