lOve the O!
Helllo O fam!! I am having internet problems- I can get on if I plug directly into the modem, but not through the old or the new just tried to set up router. So frustrating. I know I will get it figured out eventually, just hope the other internet users in the family don't kill me first. Tonight I am going dancing with my husband. The good news- I fit into a dress I bought two years ago and wore and then outgrew! So I will feel like a queen tonight. Let's hope I remember how to dance. Other good news the table and stools we ordered for the basement have arrived at the store and we are having them delivered on Wednesday before our "grand opening" party! Now to get the cleaning and painting done this weekend. Okay, I need to unplug and try to get this silly router thing set up again!

I hope you all have wonderful fridays!!

gooooOd Morning, Laurie! What a day you are having, all of at excitement! I hope that the internet behaves for you.Awesome awesome news about the dress!!! Doesn't it feel great when your dedication pays off like that??
I am sure you are going to dance divinely! It has to be like riding a bike? I wouldn't know. I don't dance *or* ride bikes LOL

Everyone has been so quiet lately. Hope all of you are well and busy in good ways.
I have been trying to get out and walk every day. Cait and I have been taking the dog and it has been great having her with me. We get a chance to talk- sometimes about silly stuff, sometimes not. The other day she told me her plan for the concert she is going to tomorrow-- there should be a Meet and Greet with one of our fav bands and the singer-- mmm, yeah, I am slightly in love with him! Ha! She is going to try to get him to sign a note that says Hi Mom for me, or is going to see if he'll call me!!! (and I secretly hope she is very successful with that!) She is a riot.
But anyway it goes when we are together..... it is always good to just "be."

My last day of insanity too- before I get a day to relax a bit. Work/babysitting and all that on the list for today. Taking Scott down to Leah's later this afternoon. Then Cait's BFF is coming for dinner and a sleepover before they head out tomorrow for the concert/fest.And we are having chicken for dinner tonight since scott won;t be here. ;)
I am copy and pasting this from another forum since I ended up blabbering way to much there, I figure it is only fair to share it here. :pound:

Here is a quick update on the dinners/and diet plans-- Scott and I spoke to his Lyme dr on Monday about his diet and he was supporting yet cautionary for him. The dr is mostly concerned about fatigue from the lack of protein and L Carnatine being made worse by the effects of Lyme. Scott also shows signs of Adrenal Stress ( i think that is what he called it-- maybe adrenal fatigue?) becasue he has low body temps and low blood pressure, some signs of low blood sugar. (hmmm, just like his mom! LOL). He si testing him for Carnatine levels and we were going to do an Adrenal Saliva Test but it wasn't covered by insurance and would have been another $250. urgh. He is taking a better B vitamin supp and will be adding in a Carnatine supp after his blood work comes back./
Geez-- do you think you know way more about his health that you really need to know? Once I get typing, I guess I can't stop! Ha!!!
Dinners have been ok- doing a lot of veggie/eggs/cheese combos. Yesterday I sauteed a huge bunch of kale with garlic and the guys loved it., I prefer spinach or broc. rabe but I'll def. eat it again.

I was going to have scott cook the kale but he and Gary have been busy the last 3 afternoons installing speakers into his car that he got for his b-day from the grandparents.
He is very willing to research and cook so we'll keep that going as best as we can.

Finish It Friday
Again, I say-- "too much to finish and not enough time/money/energy" :D

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Nancy  Crazed hockey fan??? Not you!!!! How was your Hockey Filled Day yesterday?
Ack! Not funny joke from your son!!! LOL I would have had a heart attack too. Glad that he was just teasing!!!

but what to cook that is hard
That is it!!! I don't mind cooking if I know what to cook. And everyone keeps changing what they will/wont eat on me *cries* I am quite happy not eating a lot of meat- but sometimes you have to eat chicken nuggets and fries, right?

Trudy- I spoke to soon-- woke up and 2 am and struggled to stay asleep until my alarm went off at 5 :(
So good that you are walking even if it is rainy. You rock!
If you find a link to that book that would be cool- I'll see if my library has it too.

Laurie- ugh, sounds like you did not have a good day but today will be better!

Phyllis- how nice to have such a great visit with your friend!

xoxooxo!!!

Laurie, EEEEK!!! computer stuff just freaks me out. i want it to WORK and that is IT! i don't want to think about it or have to figure stuff out. i hope you have good luck with the fix!

Chris how about a quiche? easy, if you buy a pie crust. i have to get around to tasting kale. i have an idea of a strong, bitter taste. it can't taste VERY good, or it would have been a popular green for decades, not just now, in this health-conscious time. am i wrong? is it something you "have to get used to?"

today, it's laundry and maybe a trip to Sam's Club for some staples. i have to weave my way there through way too many detours because of bridge closings and road construction. i'll be back later, hopefully, with more personals. Chris, you're right. it's so QUIET in here!

buy or pick yourself some flowers. it does wonders for the inside of your head.

Morning everyone... I want to see the sun again :hurt: Yesterday was :rain: until late afternoon then the sun came out for about 2 hrs and now its crappy outside again. I want to walk in the sunshine, not the rain!!! Grocery shopping today and hopefully some weeding if the weather cooperates. :mmph: My mojo is still missing and I only managed one page yesterday and started on a second one, but I am not happy with it and it will get dumped.

Laurie - That's not a great way to start off your day! Trying to figure out computer issues is not my idea of a good time!! Hope you get it all figured out! Yahoo on the dress fitting!! Your hard work and dedication have really paid off!! WTG!! Have fun dancing tonight, I'm sure you will remember every step!!

Chris - Hooray the end of your busy time this month is in sight! Hopefully you can relax a bit soon! You are right it has been very, very quiet in here lately!! Must be a very busy month for lots of people! Here is the link to the book at amazon.com I might look into trying this one myself! http://www.amazon.com/VB6-Before-We...1368799622&sr=1-1&keywords=eat+vegan+before+6

Phylis - I have never tried Kale either, always thought the same as you that it must taste horrible or else everyone would be eating it. Sounds like lots of construction near you, we have lots going on to. They are trying to fix an area so that it doesn't flood anymore, but we really haven't had any significant rainfall since it flooded 3-4 years ago, so is it a waste of money?? :noidea: We get rain that's for sure, but nothing like we had back then. Hope your shopping goes well and you find everything you need!

Angela - Hope your day slows down a bit and you get some rest sweetie!! Take care of you!

Nancy - Another awesome night of hockey last night! A real nail-bitter for the Big Bad Bruins game!! It was so nice to see the new kid on the block score the tying goal!!!

Hope everyone has a great Friday! Tomorrow we are hitting Costco to stock hubby up on things to cook himself while I am away. Enjoy the day everyone

good morning - yes I had a great hockey day. The US routed the Russian team 8-3. Sorry to say that Canada was ousted in a shoot out to Sweden. Trudy congrats on the Boson game. It was a nail biter. Only one hockey game tonight. Give me a chance to catch my breath and to sleep. Got in a good walk with my girlfriend. Was a fun day!

Chris sorry you up so early! Glad you are finally going to get a rest day. Enjoy it tomorrow. Rachael Ray says you can par boil the kale for 1 min or so to get rid of a lot of the bitterness before using it. Maybe that will help. Wondering if Scott should look to something to do with food in college. One of my sons friends went got his BS in food management and is a great cook and now works managing cafeterias at a large corporation.

Phylis sounds like you had a lovely visit. I agree about technology should just work.

Trudy walking in the rain is not to my liking I do do sprinkles but not rain so awesome to you.

Laurie hope you get it all figured out with router and home.

Angela hope you get so rest!

Have a great day all!

Angela, hope you had some time for a nap!

Nancy, you hockey nut, you! although, if i had cable that carried the games, i probably would be doing just what you're doing! as it is, it's Penguin Hockey on the radio.

Trudy, hope the sun comes back out for a good long time for you. do you plant veggies in the summer? like tomatoes? is there enough sun to make it work?

i ended up not going shopping. DD came out here so that i could see her new dress and figure out whether it was "ironable." (made of rayon. very wrinkled, dry clean only....) since i am the Queen of Ironing, i made it work. then i took her out to lunch at Panera. way better than going to Sam's club! :becky:

Nancy - I don't know just the word Kale brings a bitter taste to my mouth, don't think I will ever try it :puke:

Phylis - You ironing Queen you!!! Your DD must be so happy that her mom is a rock star with the iron!! No sun yet, so I went for a walk in the pouring :rain: it was still nice and warm so not so bad. I have a really great raincoat so I stay nice and dry. No tomatoes or any other kind of veggies grown here at my place. Yes they would grow and yes there would be enough sunlight, but this girl is way to lazy for that :becky: I used to though when we lived on prairie, everything grew so great there, I had tomatoes and peas coming out of my ears!! Kids would always raid the garden before I could get most of it in the house. LOL

Laurie - Have a great time dancing tonight, bet you look GORGEOUS darling!!! Glad you were able to figure out the router problem too!!
