It's here!!! Oscraps is 15!!! Who is ready to party!?
*dances around in my head for a bit*
Me! I am ready! The O Birthday Party is my favorite! All of these exclamation points have to prove it!!!

How was your day yesterday? Mine was the same old, same old. Although at one point, Caitlyn and I were scrolling through her photos and we were cracking up at all of our Theme Nights last year. We really had so much fun with them. This past year has been hellish but that made us laugh- a lot. Seeing them helped me get a bit out of the funk of "losing" a year. Sure we lost a lot but didn't everyone? Caitlyn's 2-week quarantine turned into 53 weeks but who is counting? hah!! The family actually wants to do Theme Nights again over the summer. Sure, why not? :) Scott came up with a twist on a game for us to play too. Use the Green Apple cards from Apples to Apples with the white descriptions cards from Cards against Humanity (censored version, naturally!). That would be a bonkers game! hah

Good weather news, the sun is out today so any of the snow they were forecasting is not happening! It is still super cold and windy but it is not snow, huge sigh of relief. Other than the typical housework and laundry, I am going to try and spend time here. I scrapped a page for the party and I had a lot of fun with it. But I am not crazy about how it "looks" so I might try messing around with it a bit.

Christopher's album came already and it looks amazing. I am really happy with it, I think it is one of the best I have done.
"Pro" Tip- Usually I would finish all 20 pages and upload them all at once and then arrange the pages. This time I uploaded a bunch that I had done, maybe about 12, and arranged them so I could see where I had open spots. Having that on the screen made it so much easier to match colors and photos to finish the album. I never thought to do it that way before and you all might be way ahead of me on it, but just in case, I thought I would share.

Have a fab day!

@LSlycord My kids went to community college too and I had to keep them on track with applications. They both applied on Instant Decision Day in HS and got accepted on the spot (I think everyone does) but still had to formally apply. I guess it is the same for Shaun.
Congrats on the scholarship for Syd!! Wow!!! It seems like FL is going backward. NJ just passed a bill that Community College is free and FL wants to take scholarships away? How do they think kids can afford this? SMH! I hope that the State is unable to pass those changes.

@taxed4ever Ugh, that sounds awful to have a week of rain. Can your Gary reschedule his time off? Nope,
it doesn't sound like you will get any work outside done at all, but I guess you will focus on the fireplace instead...
I am sorry that you are wandering around in the afternoons too. Do you think your hiking group will start back up again soon?
Seriously??? The Old Age Security can say that you "make" too much money? And yeah, if your Gary is able to collect, then you should too,. I hope it is a simple mix-up and is resolved quickly. Good luck to you and some nice padding for your tongue when you need to bite it!
I read your reply to Jean, you might not be able to work on the fireplace just yet. That is a bummer!

@Cherylndesigns Argh!! Sorry that your hotspot is awful. :(
awww, I love that Lila and Daisy love each other. My BF and I were texting yesterday about dogs. She had to euthanize one of her dogs a few months ago and has a Muppet pup who is 5. She has been talking Petfinder for another but asked me if she should because Georgia is a high-maintenance dog, needs lots of attention and did not like when Dax got pets before she did. I responded with GIFs of the 101 Dalmations -which means I am NO help.
Good luck with your hotspot/office!

@felis, I adore your avi! The O Fairy will know it is you for sure. I disagree with the IG Grandma. I am not boring. I am *hilarious.* And IMHO, you can be boring and hilarious at the same time. hahahahaha!!! You are too!!!
So sorry that you are in lockdown again. Be safe!
I haven't started any seeds yet, and I should do it now if I was going to but I don't have any good windows to put them in. I think I will get seedlings next month but first I have to find a new screen for the "greenhouse" shelving that Scott got me a few years ago. It sounds like what you mentioned in your post. The plastic ripped and had to be thrown out last fall and it has been too cold to go on the patio to find the brand of the shelves so I can replace it.

@nancyr I hope that the sun is out by you today too. When we were looking at Cait's photos, we saw the ones from when it snowed last May 9th. We had put bath towels over the rhododendron to keep the baby birds warm but that didn't work. :(
Luther is going to have so much fun playing with the other days today! How cute that he and the other dog were talking to each other. I don't mind cooking if someone would only tell me *what* to cook. That is the hardest part for me. But I am happy that you are making yummy meals. Thanks for the Outlander advice, I have to let that one character difference go because I spent way too much time trying to analyze it than enjoy it.

@scrap-genie Oh wow, that photo of all of the birds is fantastic! I miss the emojis too because the green grin would be neat to use for the birds on their non-socially distanced spring break.
That is wonderful that you got some take-out from the pub and talked to people! Were you nervous at all, I am not sure how I am going to feel about it. Awesome that you are two weeks past the 2nd shot. Soooo happy for you!!!
I wasn't crazy about Gibbs the Vigilante either. I was happy that he beat the guy for the dogs' sake but it isn't right esp. with everything happening now IRL.
I think I saw a blade eagle the other day! Are there any other large birds with white heads? I was out with the dogs when I saw it circling but it kept going farther out towards the lake and away from my street. I couldn't see the shape of its tail, they have a triangular tail IIRC? It would be neat to see him again so I can get a better look.

Better get started, it is almost 9. Not that I am going anywhere/doing anything...:D

Good morning Lovely O'Ladies! It is a little chilly here...55 but sunny and beautiful! I will tell you that having three days off from work has been outstanding. I am feeling quite relaxed this morning. It doesn't hurt that I have had time to scrap this morning, and that...drum roll...Florida has opened the vaccine up for 50+ and, of course, Brian qualifies. He has an appointment tomorrow afternoon for a Johnson & Johnson so he only needs one! He will be fully vaccinated before I am! LOL I'm only two weeks out so we are on our way!

A friend took me to lunch yesterday. A fun little place along the InterCoastal. We sat outside and ate lunch with plenty of social distancing and we watched boats go by. That also lifted my spirits. So you get happy Linda today. ;) Now, I'm going to get personals done today...right now...before I head to the grocery store. Then make sure that I'm caught up on my comments for the Birthday Card challenge. Then I'm really going to the grocery store. My least favorite thing to do.

@faerywings Florida is trying to go backwards. Makes me crazy...and I've been following closely and sending emails and making calls. But, not today, today I am going to be happy. Have you been able to find Cait an appointment for the vaccine yet? Hopefully soon.

@taxed4ever I love that you put so much effort into these special cards. I agree...wish that your SIL could have the special 50th wedding anniversary celebration that she deserves. Did you decide for sure on your birthday gift? Will it be the Cricut for cards? And I did make it to the bird store. I love that place. The fight over your Old Age Security makes me feel crazy! Why is everything a fight. I can't stand it. But it seems that it is the way of the world. (I really need the eye roll emoji.)

@Cherylndesigns your internet woes continue...what is up with that? Seriously...when do they say that you will have internet? Do they need all of us to make a special visit with you to their offices. I am picturing the O'Ladies doing a re-enactment of 9 to 5 where they kidnap the boss. Am I the only one old enough to remember that movie? Oh well, it made me laugh as I played out that site in my head.

@scrap-genie I too was upset by the NCIS. Both what was happening to the dogs and the fact that Gibbs who always has it together, totally lost it. I think that is just an indicator of how fragile the mental health of our society is right now...even the stable folks.

@felis check out my birthday card for the O. That is my loving Andie with me. Brian and I sit with the dogs and drink our coffee on the screened lanai each morning. Andie is such a lover...wants to be touching me at all times. This morning, she jumped up and placed her head on my shoulder. So, even though I hadn't even brushed my hair yet, I took a picture. That's what happens when you get to this age...you just do things and don't think much about how they might look. I also have the new glasses on in the picture. I'm so sorry about the lockdown. It wears on people greatly. I agree, we need the emoji hug for sure.

Oh @nancyr I can't believe that you have more snow on the way. Everyone needs warm, sunny days. We all really need that. Hope that the weathermen are wrong this time.

Ok....checking out the birthday cards in the gallery then going grocery shopping.

Good morning, ladies. I've been busy with the dogs and trying to get some desk work done. Remi is definitely feeling better, more lively and talkative (so cute to see her pouncing and yapping at Taz to play). She's finish up meds by the end of the wkend and then will have a wk of eating her kibble, pumpkin and probiotic powder before getting blood and stool work done at the end of the month. I think it will be improved, I can't see that she could still be sick when she seems so active now. Even her night time awakenings for potty break are better, one night she woke me up once and then last night she woke me up at 11:30 (we went to bed at 10:00) and then played and napped in her crate until 5, then went back to sleep until 6. So things are improving. I sure don't have a lot of time to myself right now with constant supervision of her, she wants to chew everything and needs lots of mental and physical exercising as is normal for aussies, they are high energy dogs. I put a wood barricade in the bedroom doorframe so Taz could hop it and go lay on the bed for quiet time but then this morning she figured out how to hop it too. She is also racing up the back outside stairs too so it won't be long before she wants to come down those stairs but I'll try to keep her from it for another 2-3 weeks.

@faerywings you guys have so much fun with game nights and themes. I'm not surprised you have a lot of fun memories of this past year.
@LSlycord Enjoy the lovely weather. Lucky you getting your vaccine soon. I think it will be at least a few more months for me. Canada is not doing well for rolling this out very quickly.

I'd better get back to work. Have a great day everyone and enjoy the birthday party. I won't even try to participate b/c I know my schedule is too hectic.

Have to be quick as tomorrow is the computer genealogy group and as usual I'm not ready for my presentations there. I've already written about my yesterday anyway.

Chris, I like the idea of completing the book online with the page spreads as guidance. Glad you are happy with the book as it is such a nice thing. Also glad you have sun. We do today also but still chilly. Have fun with the birthday party.

Linda, super for getting shots soon. And getting to eat outside at a restaurant.

Rae, that pup sure is something and learning to jump over so soon. Glad she seems on the road to recovery.

Have a good one, everybody!

Hi Ladies I am super duper late in here today, had a very morning, face timed with Hunter and Heather and it was so cute! He climbed into the front loading washing machine and was pretending to be in a space ship LOL (don't worry he can't close the door) We went into outer space together and stopped at the moon for a quick lunch LOL. We read a story and then he showed me how good he was getting at playing Super Mario. Then I had to get dressed and go pick up my grocery order, went into Winners and found a cute top to buy, but after trying it on at home I am not sure the colour is good for me. Darn!! Oh well I can return it tomorrow. So I have not been able to comment much here today until now. Forgive me for not doing personals today, I am off to start working on a page for the Day One Challenge. Have fun at the Party everyone!

Hello my Lovie OOOOOO's.

O'Chris @faerywings - My little granddog is here again today. My DD has to keep her locked up in her crate otherwise and I'm too soft hearted for that. Adrienne works from home and is the HR Director for a huge company that handles a lot of company's payroll - ADP. I don't know how she does it, but she does. They're living in a 5th wheel and have been since they moved out here right before Christmas. i guess you can do anything you need to do - our future is so bright - we all need to wear shades. I'm so sorry your BF lost her dog. IF she could find a Doodle - they're the best!! I was sitting in her 5th wheel the other day and I said "did you EVER think we'd be living like this???" LOL to the 5th degree. WAIT until you see the mansion they're building though - 5,000 sq feet under roof and another 2000 not under roof.

Linda @LSlycord you just coined a new title - O'ladies. LOVE IT!!! My hotspot woes are more than I ever bargained for I can tell you that! I said I'd move "to the middle of nowhere" as long as I had high speed internet. Eating my words right now and they suck!! We lived in that brick house down in the valley and had it there - then we moved "up the hill" and boom - NONE!!! If I didn't need to download big zip files, I could work off the hotspot. Oh, this is GREAT - our hotspot quit working and I've been working off the hotspot on my Iphone. Good thing we have unlimited data.

Honestly, I've had a "few" meltdowns - I MIGHT have said "everybody in the van down by the river has high speed internet"!!! WHY don't I? That was "the deal breaker" for coming out here.

Enough grousing!!

The weather is nice - almost 70 again today and Daisy and I walked clear to my GD's house and back. It's a good long walk and a lot of it is uphill. Coming back, downhill, is easier.

Hugs and waving to all. Can't wait to PAR-TAY!!!!!

good evening - the sun was out today but the wind was windy LOL and that made it cold. Yuck. Luckily Luther was in doggie daycare so I did not have to walk him. Had a good talk with my sister so that was nice. The I went to my eye doctor's as they had gotten me two frames as extras as the style I like has been discontinued. I love the frames so I am glad if these should break then I have others for repairs. The did a quick in and out of the grocery store for DP and lunch stuff. Cleaned my kitchen a bit. Then my youngest texted to see say I missed his text from yesterday. I don't think he sent it LOL. But I should have asked him if I missed the text why he did not call. Oh well. The my oldest called to talk to me tonight and wow we talked over an hour. So I had good talks with my boys and my sister. So at least I have a good excuse for knowing where my time went. Glad to see the Birthday is in full swing. Wow 15 years that is really awesome. I am sure you must some where know this but what is the history of this site. Is it the first site that did digital scrapping with designers? This is female equity month and I saw on Twitter just how unequal the NCAA treats women's sports. They showed the gym for the men which looked like a Gold Gym while for the females it was one - yes one set of weights and yoga mats this is for 64 women's teams. Well the NCAA is looking pretty bad.

@faerywings Chris glad to know you will be having theme nights again. They always sounded so fun! I am so glad the snow did not happen! It should be nice this weekend and next week. We can only hope.

@taxed4ever Trudy yes talking to family is so fun. I think it is too cute that Hunter like to go into space. Maybe he will! Glad you got your grocery order and a new shirt. My sister said she bought stuff but that she was not allowed to try on anything. She said now all the places including make-up areas all have refund and return policies. She said that is why she liked to shop because she wanted to try on the clothes.

@bcgal00 Rae I am so happy to be reading that Remi is doing so well and getting along with Taz so well! I see the cute puppies but I know I do not want to give up my sleep. LOL.

@LSlycord Linda I love the idea of eating outdoors and watching the boats go sailing by. Congrats on your DH getting an appointment for the J&J shot.

Have a great day all!

@Cherylndesigns we cross posted. Glad you had such a nice walk and wonderful temperatures. That is the pits about the internet. Maybe you need to put up your own pole with a high speed router to pull in internet. I cannot imagine living in a 5th wheel. But I can imagine living in one of those cute little houses.

Hi girls!

Chris, I'm so sorry for your friend's loss! You know what I'm thinking: when the good people wait some pet is euthanized! But then when the other dog can be in risk this is very tricky and I can see why she needs lots of research. Just to not be shy to ask the fosters! There is people who ask so many questions that I'm not sure did they want to adopt a cat or to writing her memoirs. Lots and lots of questions and speculation.
How wonderful that Christopher's album is turns so well! Yes exactly the same thing mini greenhouse. I usually use polytunnels, but we aren't start yet too.

Linda, your birthday card photo is so cute! I'm afraid that not the age is reason, but the current situation! Women just stop care do they have makeup, brushes hair or do they wear bras (this one is actually relief), so don't worry at all! And you looks great, I can't even notice that the hair isn't ready if you hadn't told me! How sweet is Andie!!!

Rae, what a great news!

Jean, you are always brilliant in your presentation, I'm sure this one is not exception!

Trudy, OMG I got stuck at front loading washing machine when I'm been little! I'm not sure on what age 2/3 yo or so. Mom have no idea why, but I'm just slide inside very quick and stuck in. She's been to panic to can racionaly gets me out and was necessary one neighbor to help her. How bad that you have to replace this top, hope they'll have more colors!

Cheryl, I just read that the boy from your avi is yours, not random meme, WOW how brilliant and clever is to use that photo! Bravo!!!

Nancy, A long family chat is the best way to spend windy day!

@BrightEyes How are you feeling? Hope your BP is better!

Don't think I haven't thought of that, Nancy! I've had THE most frustrating day! It takes me 20 times longer to do EVERYTHING than it used to. I've been about ready to lose it this evening! Searching for products in the store for credits is an exhausting job - just one of the exhausting tasks I have to do. Thanks for your conern - I appreciate it.

One of the guys who lives on the property, actually tried to string a wire from the house (where I go sometimes to use their wifi - I sit out in their driveway) - he got about half way up the hill and said there was no way. At least he tried. I'm not sure if he's just tired of me parking in his driveway or not. He's renting the house from my SIL and he was warned in advance that I'd be down there. I had to go down there at 11 PM last night.

I've had a very bad evening and even said I would never have moved out here if I'd known this. Not having high speed internet was a deal breaker for me. Now here I am- stuck without it.
