We made it through the week! The week has been "off" the entire time. Monday felt like a Sunday and yesterday already felt like a Friday. As I have said a million times already- none of it means anything. Not even a bit.
I am feeling a bit cranky so I am not going to run on and on this morning.

I was able to get everything done yesterday that I had planned to do so that was good. My parents are coming up this afternoon and we are going tout to lunch with the kids. There is a cute restaurant on the NY side of Greenwood Lake (not far from Derek Jeter's mansion if you care *G*) and they have a beautiful deck set up. We have gone there several years before but not last year obviously. It will be nice to have us together.

That is it.
HAGD!!!

@tanteva I think that is awesome that you have only one car and make it work so well. It has to save a ton of money on top of being so much better for the environment. It was neat seeing that old email from you yesterday. Caitlyn is the exact same way as she was in 2012. LOL

@Cherylndesigns I love light nails on tanned skin. Right now I have pale blue on my fingers and teal on my toes. But seeing that the only reason I have polish on my nails at all is to keep me from biting them non-stop I don't know what good it does as far as looking "nice." LOL
Hope your shopping trip with Adrienne was fun and your picture was sold :D

Kay- Bet that rain felt fantastic! I remember when my kids were little, we were in the midst of a drought and it started to pour while we were eating dinner. My kids ran out in the rain and our friends across the street were out and all the kids were dancing in it. Were you dancing too? ;)

xoxo

Happy Friday everyone! It is a great morning as I finally got the txt to book our second dose of the vaccine! We will get our shots on July 2 and so happy that we will be fully vaccinated before we get on the airplane to go to Ottawa! Doing a happy dance here!! It is going to be a scorcher of a weekend for us, with heat warnings for the entire Island. We are thinking that we will be spending Sunday at the beach with the In-Laws. We have tried to convince them to come to our place to escape the heat at night as we have our cooling system and they have none. But of course they refuse, so hopefully they can sleep in the lower part of the house where it should be a bit cooler for them. Swam my laps yesterday and hardly anyone there. Tuesday will be my last swim for the next few months and I heard word that they will be changing to 3 per lane come September, so not too happy about that. Oh well I guess we have to go back to some kind of normal one day. I was really enjoying not having to share a lane with more than one other person LOL. I am keeping busy with making cards and doing some painting. Working on a few items for our BIL who has a few beautiful old saws that he wants painted for gifts. Today I have a few errands to run and my grocery order to get done. It will be a busy Saturday with my DH with lots of watering to do and hopefully finding a new screen door for the front upstairs patio door. Not sure how much time we will be able to spend out there with the temps getting so high. They say it will hit 34C but feel more like 40C with the humidity. Ugh!! Thats like 104F. The sunscreen will be well used this weekend!

@faerywings - Chris - Sorry you are feeling cranky today! I have had lots of cranky days over the past few months! Knowing that we will be fully vaccinated is making me feel much better already! How nice to have Scott back home and sounds like he had a great and fun time! Have a lovely time with your parents and your lunch sounds like it will be amazing!

@tanteva - I think its great that you only have one vehicle! We are becoming more like Sweden where everyone is trying hard to be eco friendly and many ride bikes to work, we have a the trans Canada trail where you can ride your bike to the next towns all on the old railway route, now turned into nice wide bike/walking trails.

@Cherylndesigns - Oh having pretty white nails to show off your tan sounds so nice! I have terrible finger nails, they are like paper LOL. However my toes are nicely painted right now in a shade of hmmmm, orangey gold??? Its an OPI nail colour called "A Woman's Prague-ative". It looks nice with my skin colour in the summer. I am a bit more tanned right now from all the gardening.1624636854050.png

Kay - How nice to have the rain after all that heat! We are in a heat wave here for the next week or so. Sure hope we can get some rainfall after its all done!

Ok my face time call is coming in from Heather and the boys, so best get going!! Have a great Friday everyone!

Good morning ladies. Got a dentist appt this morning (cleaning) and then lots of work to do as my work software was acting up this week so will be busy trying to catch up. Been going to the dog park for a few hours each day after work. We're having a crazy heatwave this wkend so will stay indoors during the day a lot with the AC and then take the dogs out early morning or evening when its a bit cooler. Sunday we'll head out to the dog beach for a few hrs. The wkend is doing to fly by. Hope you all have a good wkend.

Hello girls! I can't believe I'm not post from the weekend! I checked to see what I was talking about last time, so to not repeat myself and couldn't believe! Even double checked as to me it's not looked so long ago at all, I could swear it was the day before when I was posted. The time flies so fast! It was one of these quiet weeks when days are similar, mostly work and chores. It's so darn hot, I've melted at the whole time! And it's so unpleasant to stay so sticky, but have to wear tons of antiperspirant, sunscreen and mosquitoes spray. I don't want even to think how many bad chemicals absorb through my skin, because of that.
We are trying to not use the air conditioner at least to the end of the month, because over consuming of electricity is so deadly for the environment. Most sources at my country are invasive, we have just a few solar and wind centrals, and they are not in my area. And it's ridiculous complicated to receive permission for independent home's solar panels, as it's affects the interests of the electricity companies which have big impact on our government and works mostly in their favor. Fortunately now the companies for solar water heating are taking their market share too and after we fixed our roof at May we was able to get one, which makes me so happy at the moment! But still the AC is big consumption, so mostly we try to cooling the rooms through open windows and working on the porch at the worst hours. Every time when I think that I can't stand anymore I remind myself that AC actually are popular here past 10 years or so, they aren't actually essential, and my my great-grandmother at this month on the same weather is been working at the fields! Modern people are so spoiled! But yes I wasn't in my best shape this week!

Chris, I hope you'll have awesome lunch on this fancy place, and to be able to see this celebrity! I'm not familiar who he is, are you fan or just hanging around for selfie?!
Hey, you was told me that Cait may to have some advices about the Shifting paradigms and law of attraction, did you have chance to discus that? I'm still struggling to improve my habits and this book is so boring! I find every book boring at this moment lol! Was rewatching ''Pride and prejudice'' movie and Elizabeth's sister shocked mr Darcy by saying: ''I want to read, but I have so more interesting things to do.'' L O L , yes sis.

Trudy!!! You are posting again, so happy to see you! And also I'm so happy that everything going as planned for your vacation! My sister hates all these tests and quarantines. Not the test itself, but some airlines don't accept local hospital's test and forced you to pay on their partner clinic for a second test on the airport. Hope it will be much easier now with the vaccination passport!

Rae, I'm jealous about your chance to take the dogs to the beach! We had to change our schedule because of the hot too, it's pits!

Eva, same here about people are able to walk, not to drive, to go everywhere! Not so good as in Canada, but still! Like Trudy said and according to that book I adore "Sleeping Naked Is Green'', bicycle ride in Canada is pure pleasure! In the cities here it's a bit dangerous, but the towns are different zone. I remember when Chris' dad wasn't able to drive and she told me that they have no sidewalks or chance to ride bike. I was so shocked. I can't imagine to have to pay every time when you go out, because driving cost money, and if you have always to pay to go somewhere, this isn't actually freedom! As European I have some unrealistic expectation about US based on the TV shows. OMG, did you hear about this awful TV show that offends the french people ''Emily in Paris''? I sort of want to watch it so to can hate it LOL!
Nothing personal my US friends, I love you and know that you aren't like they present the american girls in that movie!
WOW 12 free days, that sounds heavenly! Any plans? I'll use my vacation time (if I'll be able to get one this year), for full cycle of 48 - 72hr sleep, love this, I need one so desperately! Then the next 2 days will clean. Yes my life is so exciting!! :p:D

Cheryl, did you buy the dream picture? How lovely to have your girl time for nails!

Hello!! Sorry I didn't make it in here yesterday. Adrienne and I ended up being gone all afternoon. Good news - my "dream picture" had been sold!! I was truly going to try to figure out a way to get it. I was doing the happy dance when it wasn't there. She came straight in and hung a couple of things for me that I found in an antique barn, then she and Braden stayed for dinner. The girls get home tonight and Roger flew into Arkansas at 10:30 last night. Next week, we'll be back to normal.

Yes, white on tanned hands and feet look amazing! LOL Chris, my DD bites her fingernails and picks at her toenails too so that's why she gets the dip on her fingernails. My natural nails are looking pretty good. I found this treatment for restoring nails after acrylics, etc. bought it and I think that's what salvaged my nails.

Trudy, so happy that you got your swim in and yay for the 2nd shot and having it before you fly! I'm still not ready to get on a plane. I like that color of polish, Trudy. I usually just wear my "treatment" I'm supposed to put a new coat on every week. I've pretty much stopped now and I'll probably use the Fiji. If I mess that up, it doesn't show so much.

Chris, hope you're feeling better today.

I'm going to go pop in on Saturday now, since this is Saturday.
