I almost gave myself a heart attack, I felt my heart do that jumpy thing. I thought it was Jan 8 and I still don't have anything for my mom for her birthday which is tomorrow, the 8th. But nope, it is the 7th so I have one more day to still have nothing for her. :D We talked yesterday and she understands and agrees that everything should be put on hold for a while. My dad was hoping to have my aunt fly up to see her and have a small dinner party but none of that is going to happen. At least not right now. She suggested that we have bagels on Sunday together but the last time we mentioned that to Scott, he said is not even close to being ready- that was a big thing with LL always being here. (I know it is me being childish but I like the LL moniker for her *nods* It fits.)

My back is twingy, that started Wed night and cleaning yesterday didn't help the situation. it snowed last night but we only got a few inches. My back is very relieved, no huge shoveling event.
Not much happenin' here, I think I am going to mentally claim today as a snow day and do nothing. As if I have been doing "something" every other day the past few weeks. Bwahaha!

Confession time: I missed something on my to-do list yesterday and was very aggravated at myself this morning. I cleaned the coffee pot with vinegar the other day. The clean-cycle doesn't work so I run it using the strongest brew setting. I keep forgetting to switch it back to the regular brew strength, which is back on my list today.

have a wonderful day!
xoxo

Morning! I’ve had a busy week back at work - they cancelled school here for the week (extended Christmas break due to Covid) but we hat just meant I had waaaaaaay more work to do, on top of figuring out the kids and their schedules. Things should be better after next week.

@LSlycord Did Jeonia get back home today? I hope that she did and didn't end up waiting at the airport for too long.
It has to be exciting that Syd is getting closer to decision time. ITA that seeing the campuses with people there will be a big help. I hope that she gets accepted, she has the "resume" that backs her up.

@taxed4ever It sounds so crazy how much snow you are getting so far this winter. (better you than me *evil grin*) I hope that the rain and slush didn't turn into ice today.
Yay for getting to see your sister for her b-day! Of course, she loved her gift, it is gorgeous.
The font on your Christmas plaque is beautiful. Cait got a Cricut form my ILs and needs to figure out how to use the fonts. I wonder if she has one similar, I might need to ask her to make stuff using it. :D Your plaque is perfect with the buffalo plaid. You can make one with burlap next year LOL
I think you said, but darn if I can remember-- the boys are remote for only a week or two? Or is it until cases go down? I am wondering why my town is still in-person, NJ had 30,000 new cases yesterday and that doesn't count any of the at-home tests. Good luck to Heather, I know it has to be hard corralling two energetic boys to do school work.
Have you posted any pics of them on skates in the yard? It is such a "Candian thing" to my very NJ brain. Love it!

@Cherylndesigns Yippeee on getting back to sleep! Maybe you are rubbing off on me a little. I woke up around three, fell aback until 5, then fell back until 6 am. woohoo!! That is a miracle for me.
That is MY kind of fridge! Wine, half and half, and coffee, No need for anything else. :D

@mom2triplets04 Thinking of your grandmother-xo
Enjoy the day while Myla is having fun at puppy play today. Did you get more snow? I hope she is having a blast tearing up in it. She will come home exhausted again

@bcgal00 Is Jen feeling all better after that cold she had last week? Remi is so cute in the snow, every pic you post is adorable. That is how Cait reacted to the booster, her arm hurt more than any other effect. Hope J gets hers soon too

@Susan - s3js I drove past the supermarket yesterday and it was *packed* - everyone must have been stocking up on bread, milk, and eggs. I can't (actually I totally can) believe that someone would take the coffee out of your hands and laugh. SMH!
Working in PJs is a nice way to do it. Caitlyn would crack me up when she had her internship hours all remote. She had on a nice top, a little bit of makeup, and then her Halloween PJ bottoms and fuzzy socks.
Did you get one of the boys to make dinner?

I should get going, I had decided that I would try to be off the computer by 8 am and now it is 9 am. So much for staying on task :)

Haven't been feeling chatty the last few days. Sorry about that. But I have to pop in today and just say to @faerywings now's the time to move to Sweden: 4*F today. Was so happy to go grocery shopping. LOL

Nothing much happening. Decluttering, scrapping & watching telly. And food & yarn of course. Made the cover for Urban's book & I think he's uploading the book to a print‐on‐demand company later today. I'm so happy the book is done! I might see more of my husband now. LOL

(Love that autocorrect on my tablet has learned, that after I've finished a sentense & added the period sign, LOL is suggested. LOL)

Good Morning everyone, its grey and drizzly here this morning, but at least we can drive around without sliding off the road today! I am hoping to get my grocery order in this morning and pick it up later this afternoon, but I guess we will see if I can a spot or not. Sure seems to be much busier these days! Well I just checked my online shopping and I will have to wait until tomorrow morning to pick up, that's ok. Yesterday I had a busy afternoon getting a t-shirt started for Mason, it took me much longer to get the files cut than expected, so I will try to finish that project off today. Then this morning I had a chat with Mason and Hunter and now Hunter would like his grandma to make a shirt for him as well. Oh boy another project LOL. I love to do things for my grands though. Wonder when I will get a request from Isaac and Sadie?? I guess I will have to go and look for a T-shirt that will fit Hunter this morning. I sure hope I have better luck than when I tried to find one for Mason  . Not sure what the agenda is going to be like for this weekend. I am sure my DH will have lots for us to do LOL. I did not manage to get any scrapping done yesterday and I will see how my hunt for a new T-shirt goes before I commit to scrapping this afternoon. I hope that everyone has a fun weekend and that you all stay safe and warm!

@faerywings - Hope you find something lovely for your Mother for her birthday! Too bad that Scott is just not ready to bagels and coffee with your Mom and Dad yet! I have to confess that I like your referral to the ex-girlfriend too!! Oh and yes the boys are remote learning for a couple of weeks, sure hope that it is not any longer than that! The kids all need to be in school, its been such a hard couple of years for them! Will post a page with the boys skating on their rink, I have so many pages to do rolling around in my head, its just getting them done that I am struggling with. Not sure why, but this past year it seems to be more of a chore than a pleasure and that makes me very sad!! I really need to find my mojo, I know its out there somewhere!!

@tjscraps - Ugh sorry to hear that you also have kids doing remote learning again! When will this ever end??? I hope that you and your hubby are feeling well and that things are back to normal by next week for you!

Ok I better get out there and find a t-shirt for my little Hunter man. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning ladies. So glad its Friday so just this work day to get thru and then 2 days to relax which will be good for my back. It is slowly getting better but I'll be glad when I can bend again without pain. Last night we binged NCIS LA, I love the characters in that show. The snow is melted down to just a few inches and is a slushy mess.

Jen talked to the head of the brain injury/neuro team and he is going to advocate for us to get Bailey moved up to Kamloops. It doesn't mean it will happen, a proper placement and team might not be available for her and if so, when that might happen is unknown, it could be as long as 2-3 yrs. So, its a game of waiting, researching and pushing the Vancouver team to gets things done. So moving out of the lower mainland is still a possibility. I sure hope so. I am sick of the Vancouver weather and the housing prices will be a bit cheaper in the interior so I'm all for a move there. A new adventure is just what we all need. But we also know it might not happen so either way, changes are coming in the next year or two but still unsure what that will be.

I want to make some cookies this wkend, I've been craving some but want to make them healthier than store bought. Maybe peanut butter cookies. Jen is going to come pick me up around lunchtime to take the dogs to the park and we'll stay close to the parking lot so I don't have to do a lot of walking.

My sore arm from the booster is fine today. I also had a bit of a mild headache for a few days but that is gone too.

@faerywings Poor Scott, my heart lurched when I read about the visit and bagels. Hugs to him. Jen is fine now. It was just a bit of a cold, she tested negative twice so it wasn't covid.

I'm getting another coffee and getting started on work. Everything has been slower and delayed this week, partly from my back injury and partly from laziness and not wanting to work after the Xmas break. I have been sleeping in a bit longer. At the usual time, Remi keeps trying to herd me down the hall to get dressed, get the office opened up and then get her outside. She is frustrated that I'm about 45 minutes behind my usual schedule LOL. That girl loves to follow a routine. She is getting used to D being home everyday now. She has stopped barking and racing upstairs every time she hears a noise up there during the day. Makes sense, b/c for a year it was just me and the dogs so no one was walking around up there during the week.

Hope you all have a good day. BFN

Morning, gals. Did a bit of futzing around on the computer making a logo the past few days. Then discovered that the size I used was a bit too large for the name tags. So it will be back to the PSE and see if I can adjust things without messing up the logo. Grrrr.... We are going to laminate them and put pins on the back but have to find the right size pouches before we can do anything. Yesterday I was going to print out some of the pages about DH (and some with me) for his album. Couldn't figure out why I stopped printing pages back in July... only to discover that I was out of white cardstock. I have cream cardstock but the cream affects the colors so need white CS. So that is another project on hold for right now.

I will taking this weekend off as tomorrow is the anniversary of DH death. It is always a sad time so have learned to not plan on doing much around that date. Will be back on Monday.

Myla loved the snow. But she got up at 7 am. School was canceled so she should have slept longer. It was the first time hubby had her off the leash so she ran and ran. She loved the cold and the snow. At 11 am I dropped her off at puppy camp so hoping she is worn out when I pick her up at 3. I'm going to take a nap. I'm exhausted.

Hello all.

Chris, @faerywings I HOPE I'm rubbing off on you - I slept until 10 today again, but woke up several times very early. At least I was able to go back to sleep. I'm so sorry that Scott still isn't ready to go have bagels. He'll be ready when he's ready. :( I knew you'd get a kick out of my "what do we need" post. LOL Good luck finding something for your mom. I've done a gift certificate for people - like: "Here's a GC for one front door wreath of your chosen design (or whatever you could make for her). Could you maybe make her some personalized scrubs? Do like an IOU and let her pick.

Trudy, I love that you make T-shirts. I've never made any except that I used to do T-Shirt/sweatshirt painting back in the day. I actually used to sell them - I'd make whatever people wanted. One time, I cut the neck out of a sweatshirt, the bottom band off and the wrist bands and rolled the sleeves up. I was just messing around and everybody who saw my "made over sweatshirts" wanted to know where I got them. Boom! I actually had a business. I still cut the neck/bottoms off shirts especially if they don't fit the way I want them to. My girls laugh about my "altering them". I can't stand tight necks and quite often cut the neck bands off of T-shirts. I buy V-necks whenever I can. I've "operated on" lots of T-shirts. Hahaha

My house looks so bare with my Christmas stuff down. Adrienne and I going to try to go over to Hobby Lobby this weekend (it's about a 45 minute drive) so I can look for an "everyday wreath" to hang on my antique window. It looks so bare since I took my Christmas wreath off.

Have a good day and Happy Friday!

PS Kay @BrightEyes I just saw your post. The nametags sound like they're going to look beautiful. Where are you using them? I'll be keeping you close to my heart tomorrow. HUGS
