Happy Friday, my lOves!
I slept like a rock last night. I vaguely remember W whacking me in the face to let her under the covers at some point. Other than that, I don't think I moved. I hadn't slept well the previous few nights and I was exhausted yesterday.

The house is mostly back in order and I am still catching up on laundry. Most of my morning was researching steam cleaners. My old one was leaking so I bought a replacement bucket but it isn't suctioning up the water anymore. I was hoping to put off buying one for a while but with Pup being sick in Scott's room, there wasn't much point in waiting. I've said it before, and I'll say it again- I have such a love/hate relationship with Amazon but yesterday was one of those days Prime shipping comes in handy. It will be here today. He prefers to take care of his own house stuff, cleaning and laundry, but he is working 12-hour days for the next 4 so I am going to offer to do his rug tomorrow.

Other than that, I did a little scrapping and a little bit of the puzzle with Gary. No yoga, I missed two days this week but I am not beating myself up over it. I'm just going to start again. That is kind of a huge revelation for me, that is it OK to start over. Typically, I would talk smack about myself to myself. Progress! ;)

HAGD!

@LSlycord Take me with you to the beach! Pu-lllleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaassssssssssseeeeeeeeee. Did you go yesterday? It is supposed to be in the 50s this afternoon. Cait's commentary: RIP Climate.
I have not had a chance to do anything with the photos from my mom this week. I will have to look at the pages you posted this morning.

@BrightEyes Hope that today is less painful than the day before. That is nice that your DD is coming to visit and help change sheets too.

@taxed4ever if it going to rain continuously, I am glad you had a good break for your hike. I can't imagine hiking with a large group like that, but I bet it would be fun with lots of encouragement.
That's funny about the trail signs, Scott just showed me the project he had been working on mapping out trail signs all over the county. The one's up county (here in the mountains) are very different from the ones down county (more urban parks). It is a great idea that they have the signs numbered so you know exactly where you are instead of "I am near the third blue triangle to the west. Or is it the 4th triangle?"
I have all my fingers and toes crossed that the ear flushing works and no more water in the ears!

@bcgal00 You are super organized with your meals. I am jealous. Even when I think I have a plan, it gets messed up, sometimes at the last minute.
So a teleconverter is something you add onto your lens, to zoom out even more?
Remi is so darn smart! I can tell from what you say that she really enjoys being challenged like that. And what a smartypants with the pillows and toys LOL!!
I'd love to share your quiet space and I promise I won't make a sound. :giggle4:

@Nonni F That is very sound advice to be there. It's really hard, I am one of those people who wants to *fix things* and it frustrates me when I can't.
I hope that your friend is able to recover the data from the EDH. Vicki is the best, she will work with you to make sure that anything you have bought you can re-download.

My girls need to go outside, BRB! :runningdog:

@vickyday This is how Sam's life seems to go: They were running late to Pup's appt because her grandma was refusing to sign the papers to allow the hospice nurse to be there, then over the DNR papers. and it was a mess. That family has been through hell and back and Sam is still one of the most open and kind and freaking funny people I know. TY for the prayers ♥
I was going to say "I hear you" in regards to Mark and the TV volume, but if it is anything like Gary and TV volume-- then, no. I actually *can't* hear you hahahaha
Good for you- that decluttering of the hooks and needles is great! Even better to work on the clothes. I was trying to tell my mom that donating is such a good thing to do rather than holding onto stuff. That's awesome that your pastor's wife wants some. Hope your head is better today, if only the weather would be sort of stable for a few days in a row. pfft

@Cherylndesigns My Harley did the same for probably about the same amount of time- it was at least a month or two that she would go back and forth, a few good days, a few bad, then over again. I would tell her every night that she went to sleep that it was ok for her to go, that I would be ok without her (Narrator voice: I was not ok without her). I didn't want to have to make that decision- but that isn't the way it usually goes, is it?
I am not Catholic (born and raised but not practicing) and one of the first things I thought when they picked Pope Francis was that I knew he was going to be a good man because of his name and St. Francis. ( My hippy-dippy self wasn't a fan of Benedict. ;) )
Anyway---how many people and animals came and went through your house yesterday? Grand Central is probably about right *G*

*waves hello to everyone*

Good morning. I have a list of things that I need to accomplish. Because I didn't do a darned thing yesterday. I didn't even get out of my PJs (which are shorts and a tshirt so there's that). I went out to the pool and reclined in a lounge chair and listed to Soft Yacht Radio...they had some great songs going...Brandie, Pina Colada, Reminiscing...the sun was shining and the skies were blue. It was delightful. But I didn't seem to have the gumption to get out there and run to the store 5 minutes away...because I would have had to get out of pajamas.

So today I'm headed to the grocery store and post office. I also must get my walking started again. Good grief...the Covid stopped that in its tracks. So re-start I will!

Good Morning, Everyone!
@faerywings missed a couple days of yoga? Be kind to yourself. Don't look back. You're not going that way. Today is a new day. Clean slate.

All is "better" in my corner. I was able to get everything back here at O'Scraps! Kudos to O'Scraps for making it easy. So far we've been able to get "some" off of one of the passports so not ALL is lost. I spent all evening re-downloading things I could from different sites. Have a message out for some other things... While I wanted to vomit at first... Life is too short and things like this need to be lower on my totem pole.

Long work day here. It's Deliberative Session night so I'll be hanging out in the Middle School Gym listening to the town residents debate all the items on the warrant for this March's election. (insert... rather be scrapping thoughts) But, need to work to buy the kits. lol It's a vicious cycle.

Happy Fri YAY

Yeah, right! Stable weather......no such thing in NC! However, the sun is shining today and it is already 63° at 11 and the headache is minimal today, thank the Lord!
HA! I "hear" you on the not-being-able-to-hear-you! ;)

Good Morning Gals!
Already 63° here this morning with sunshine! The rain we were supposed to get yesterday did not happen. The clouds moved on out! It was supposed to happen today.....no clouds so far! Mark is out at the sawmill in his shirt sleeves! I'm in my pjs and working on more decluttering.

Today so far I've gotten rid of a big bag of yarn scraps that I inherited from Tim's mom. I still have another container to go through. I also want to start going through my chest of drawers and get rid of some of those clothes that I NEVER wear! I also want to weed out my shoes that I never wear! I wear the same 3 or 4 pairs ALL THE TIME!!!

Kitchen is still clean! YAY ME!! Bed is made! YAY ME! I may do some laundry later. Depends on how deep into the decluttering I get today!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!! #kiss

Morning everyone! Some patches of Blue Sky out there today, but it might just be a teaser as there are lots of dark looking clouds up the valley. Well I got my ears flushed out at the Dr.'s Yuck!! No wonder water couldn't get back out of my ears, so disgusting! I am one of those people who never puts a Q-Tip in her ear, because the one time I did it just pushed the wax deeper in and I got an ear infection from it. I also got her to zap a spot on my face which I was a bit concerned over, but she was 100% sure it wasn't anything to worry about. Just a freckle that has gotten pretty large, so hopefully this will help it to go away. Then we discussed the choice of getting the Shingles Vaccine, but then it only lasts for about 10 years, so do we really want to have to get it again?? She was telling me that its not as expensive as it used to be, because there is a generic brand of the vaccine now and so the cost of that one is less. I think DH's insurance would cover most of the cost anyway, we just can't decide if we should get it now? Or do we wait a bit?? Anyway I spent the rest of the day cleaning my kitchen cupboards and getting the grease build up off of the top of them. What an exciting life I live :(. Today will be trying to get some scrapping done, perhaps a trip to my favourite little craft store and putting a parcel in the mail for Heather and Boys.

@faerywings - I remember that you asked me what I use to clean the greasy mess off of my range hood, the other day. I'm not one for using harmful chemicals , but the only thing that really works for me is this ...
unnamed-2.jpg
I buy it at the local Home Hardware Store and its ready to use so no mixing of anything. It works like a hot damn!! No more grungy grease!! I agree with the others don't worry about not doing yoga for a few days, its all good!! You will begin again!
Hope you get the carpet all cleaned with your new machine. Too bad you had to order a new one, but it beats struggling to keep the old one working.

@LSlycord - Hope you get out of your jammies today! Yesterday sounds like a perfect way to spend the day though!! I will have to check out your Soft Yacht Radio, I could use some ideas for a playlist for my new waterproof mp3 player!

@Nonni F - How wonderful that you are able to get your files back that you lost! It is a long process though isn't it! I know that this site is great for letting you re-download things that you have lost! We love our Momma O she is the best!! Hope the meeting doesn't bore you to tears!!

@vickyday - Woo Hoo look at you go with your de-cluttering! I love to purge and once I get going its hard to stop, but then I am kind of a neat freak, it used to drive my kids crazy LOL. However they are just like their Mom now :lovey3:. Good luck with your tossing of old clothes and shoes!!

Ok off to the shower and then another cup of coffee and it will be time to open up photoshop for a go at some scrapping! :waving1

Good morning ladies. I slept in until 8:30. I can't remember the last time that happened. I was awake a lot during the night so I'm glad I slept in to balance it out. I woke to Remi staring at me, waiting. I'm sure she was ready to get up anytime after 6 LOL. I'm still drinking my first coffee and Remi is pacing and staring at me, wanting to get out and feed the birds while she plays with her outdoor squeaky toy.

Today is a quiet day, hanging around the house, maybe take the dogs up into the grasslands for a drive this afternoon. Maybe some scrapping.

@faerywings good attitude about the yoga. If you miss a few days, no big deal, just carry on. I am looking forward to hiking more with the dogs now that the snow is melting.

Remi is now nudging me. It is time to get out and feed the birds LOL. HAGD everyone, gotta go.

@taxed4ever Definitely not telling you what to do, but if you've never had Shingles it might be worth the every two years. My husband got them bad several years ago... all over one side of his head. He still gets random zaps of nerve pain now and then.

The meeting is usually long. I just try to stay out of trouble. Never goes well, when the Police Chief and I get scolding looks for chuckling too much in the back of the room.

@bcgal00 Enjoy your drive through the grasslands. Sounds peaceful.

I'm going to see if I can find that cleaner here. The cabinets in the kitchen have not been touched for decades! Mark's mom was not a cleaner! I'm not either, but I'm a tad bit better than she was. She was a hoarder, too! You would have DIED 1000 deaths if you had seen the house when I first moved in!#annoyed And I'm not a neat freak, but I'm looking forward to having more room in the house....closet....drawers....whatever! It is a small house that was already full of stuff when I moved some of my stuff from the parsonage where I lived before Tim died. There is still furniture in the parsonage that I'm eventually going to have to donate as the kids don't want it. Sigh! It's a never-ending process! Getting Mark to declutter is going to be another story!

I'd share pictures here of my decluttering, but I will save them for some scrapbook pages I intend to do when everything is said and done!

Hello. Things have been a little quieter today - yesterday was a zoo. Casey surprised me by walking in to clean - actually, I forgot that it was Thursday.:p She said she was going to call me the day ahead next time. This whole week has been hectic. We turned our leased SUV and we've gone total country! Our very first truck - :rotfl: We've had dozens and dozens of cars and SUV's but never a big truck. We should be able to get over any bad roads now.

truck-resized.jpg

Anyhoo, big changes. I've wished we had a truck since we moved out here and now, we do.

Chris @faerywings I had to laugh when you said you weren't Catholic - we're not either. Somebody told me to get the St. Francis of Assisi medal for our sick dog so I thought "Why not?" When I sold real estate, if you buried a plastic statue of St. Joseph (the patron saint of home and family) by your front door, it supposedly helped your house sell faster. When my ex-son couldn't sell his home (before he married my DD) I got him to do that. He was reluctant at first because he's Jewish. He finally said, "What the heck?" LOL We used to buy those plastic statues in bulk. Anyway, his house sold. See, you do what you need to do. :drinks2:Oh, there were ONLY 3 dogs here yesterday. :rotfl:

Hugs to all and if I don't get this posted I never will.

XOXO
