I didn't sleep well again last night. I woke up at 4 am in another panic, this time about Christmas gift ideas. This is just one more example of why I always crash in January. This year will be the first in many years that I won't be on abx so I have to be very careful to not send myself into a Lyme relapse.

Whisky is doing fantastic- she has gained another 3 pounds since last time she was in so she is up to 48 lbs. She was 28 when we rescued her a year ago. She will be 2 in February so this is most likely the size she will stay at but it still makes us so pleased at the difference in her appearance and health. We could not ask for a happier or snugglier dog either.

I started packing away all of the ingredients, supplies, and packaging for the F-W's stuff. If it hasn't been made by now, it isn't going to be done for Sunday. I am hoping to crochet a couple of more of the face scrubbies this afternoon, but if not-- again not the end of the world. I have to say, it is refreshing to be able to say/type that out loud. Have I ever done that before? Probably not!

My mom and I are going to the dreaded "W-word" (Walmart) today. blech!! I hope that it isn't too crazy over there. I ended up with such a horrible headache I needed to take my migraine meds yesterday and I would rather not need them again today.

May your day be merry and bright!

Felis- happy belated St Nicholas Day. How fun that you decorated the cat house. Caitlyn finished decorating her rats cage the other day to have it all ready for them on Sunday. It is very Christmasy too.
here is a picture of the scrubbie- I am making the little spiral ones at the bottom
a1aa_small.jpg

I did have favorite students even though you are not supposed too. IMO- as long as you are aware of it and don't make decisions based on that, then it is a part of being human. I also had a couple of non-favorites- the kids that would wipe their snotty noses on me all of the time :p
Hope that you were able to get out with the dogs for a walk.

Trudy- how is the calendar for yoru Gary coming along? That is a great gift idea for him. $90 for a top! That is crazy, my entire wardrobe is less than that (considering I raid Gary and Cait's closets all of the time. :pound: )
Do you have a black or gray sweater and just get a festive scarf to finish it off?

Kay- 4 am is way too early-- I get that!! Happy for you that you are able to sleep until 6. My MIL is having to do the same with her knee. She needs a knee replacement but is refusing to do it at this point. But when she Ouch- DD and her fingers, did she break them?
Poor GDD -- actually G-GDD-- needed surgery so young. Poor baby :(

Angela- how fun for your DD to do Outward Bounds. How long will she be away? That is very smart to make separate to-do lists. Sometimes, I will write one out and then if it looks unmanageable, I highlight the top 5 that have to get done. Some days I completely flake out and get nothing done.

Rae- if anyone can get that scheduling sorted out so well it is you. And so smart to put that extra money away for when you aren't working.
The gourmet chef party-- can you bring me along too? :D
I must have been channeling you when I suggested a sweater and scarf for Trudy! GMTA!

Jean- that stinks that the H&S only had a short period of time to play. The snow must have looks festive but I am glad that you made it home before it got too bad.
Actually, I did tell her that Scott was my favorite because he never tried to run away (she did, even if it was only to threaten to go her BFF across the street) or told me that he hated me (she did that too- but only once) :p

I better get going... my mom will be here early so we can get to the stores before they get busy in the afternoon.

Hi ladies,
You know these days when you have to run through a long list of daily tasks, which are easy but mostly time consuming, so are been procrastinated the whole week. So today is one of these days for me. I prepared some clothes that have to be donated. The others of my family are ready with this from few weeks and waited only me  . Now have to take some pics for one of the challenges. And hope after all other to be able to scrape this evening (todays rules are small confusing for me, so I first asked at the thread)! But the tragedy is that only want to cuddle my puppy and take a nap  .

Chris, sorry to hear you are stressed for something that have to be funny and warm! So it isn't appropriate just to ask them what they want, isn't it?! Something as wishlist with things or when is able directly link.
Aww the scrubbie are so cute that they can be separate product. Now, when I say 'cat house' I mean that they actually live in the house that was belong to my grandparents, till 'human house' is the house that my dad build for us a front of it. And 'dogs apartment' is separate building on back of it. It's not something cute and the decoration is pretty ordinary. Nothing special as you and Rae thinking. They even don't receive lights, because love to destroy them and this could be dangerous  .

Trudy, aww your comment to my letter to Santa just make me smile so widely, thank you!Good that the cold weather not harm your hike! Did the trail was new to you? 12 klm WOW, you're not just in great shape, but enthusiast with sure! Hope to find some fancy top on more acceptable price! Aww I always borrow clothes from my sister too, because she have excellent style and flair for shopping exactly as Rae.

Kay, oh, sorry about your knee! Hope it's because weather affect him and isn't something more seriously! So bad for your daughter too, get better soon!

Angela, your layout for the play repetition is awesome! Outward bounds activity sound excited with sure, but isn't too cold for that at this time of the year?!

Rae, traditionally have to keep one or two scales from the carp in the wallet, but if you accidentally step on scales during prepare the fish for cook this will bring troubles and sickness. My family is not so superstitious so prefer mackerel on grill with potato salad. Thank you for asking! These men at home always distract our plans :) . How sweet from your side to make portrait for your husband's boss, especially in this festive situation, will become really spectacular!

Jean, I do want to have complete 52 project, I'm very disappointed. Will be as an album with torn pages. But in my anger and offense I completely stoped not just to take a pics, but also to make a weekly task. Can't just to invent them, because it is no sense to keep album with lies. At least I'll fill few more pages which was started, before the rule for 'fairness to all' and december's with sure. However!
Not good that Hum & Strum are left disappointed, what is wrong with these people to eat so disrespectful?! Aww, send me some of your snow, please!

Hugs and kisses and coffee, girls, and hope that you're in great Friday mood! :cof3:

good morning - well yesterday was a success as the aqua therapy was actually pretty fun. The pool is 91 degrees and the room with the pool is really warm too! They did all the exercises you would do in a gym but in the water. I came out feeling better and not sore. I go again today. But I stayed up too late as the Devils are playing West Coast teams. My Devils defeated the Kings 6-3. They had not won a game on the road for 20 days. It was a great game. We would score then they would tie. Finally in the end we got a two goal lead and finished with an empty net goal. They play the Ducks on Sunday and Sharks on Monday. One of the meals from Blue Apron this week was veggie calzones. Thankfully they sent dough. Still though they did not look perfect but they tasted delish. It was broccoli with ricotta and mozzarella with Italian seasoning for the filling. My boys loved them. Had a great talk with my sister this morning. Nothing special just fun.

I have to get ready to go to therapy. I will do personal when I return.

Have a great day!

Morning ladies... I am up and dressed and bed made etc. I have a repair guy coming this morning to fix our dishwasher. It is only a year old and for a couple of months it has been giving us trouble. There is a big crack on the control panel and every so often it just will not start at all. So DH contacted the company and they are going to fix it even though it is not on warranty anymore. Guess this has been a problem with this model and they are aware of it, so hooray this won't cost us a thing! Yesterday was another write off as Sister Pam wanted to meet up so I could get eggs from her and then she had a couple of hours to kill before picking up her granddaughter from school and asked if I would keep her company. How could I say no? She also brought me a beautiful top to wear for the Christmas Party a pretty little tangerine colored sleeveless top that I can wear under my black jacket, it is such a pretty colour and it fits me perfect Hooray!!! Gotta love having sisters!! So needless to say that no scrapping got done. I did manage to do some commenting in the gallery and wrapped a few presents, so today I am on a mission to get at least one page done today.

Chris - Calendar for DH is almost complete, it is pretty quick when you don't have to add anything else except for the pictures! I am loving all the great products that you have done for your faerywings sale!! Those scrubbies are too cute and I saw that your Gary is quite the talent also with the speakers for the phones! What a great idea! So satisfying for you to know that you have done a wonderful job in taking care of your Whiskey too! WTG you are such good doggie caregivers! Whiskey is a lucky dog! Thanks for you suggestions for helping me to look festive for the Christmas Party. I do love the way scarves look on other women, just not a huge fan of them for myself LOL. I think I maybe only own two scarves myself.

Felis - Seems like most days for me are like the one you are having today LOL. Yes the hike was a new one for our group and it was mostly along the Trans Canada Trail system that took us from one end of the city to the other and then a few different trails to get back to our vehicles. Let me tell you my legs were feeling it when we were done! I had to soak in a nice hot bath when I got done. But it was a beautiful sunny day and the air was crisp and clean, so lovely! My sister has excellent fashion style also and she is an amazing designer for her home too, wish I could decorate my home as nicely!

Nancy - Oh I am so happy that you had a good time at Aqua therapy!! I know all the people who take it at my pool, always have such a good time! They look forward to it several times a week! Hooray for your Devils winning their game! Our Bruins are not doing so well, looking pretty bad this year and it is doubtful that they will make the playoffs this year! Your Blue Apron meal sounds delish!! DS is enjoying his deliveries too but says he might have to switch to the easy prep ones to save some time on making the meals. Enjoy your swim therapy today!!

I will pop back in here later on today, right now the repair guy has arrived so I need to skedaddle :bolt:

Good morning, ladies. I procrastinated a bit this morning as I am getting close to the end of my book (Judgement by Carey Baldwin, this is #1 but I read #2 before I realized there was a first book) and was hoping to finish it but no, not quite, so had to force myself to put it down and get ready to start my work day.

I've got a few errands to run at lunch time and need to get some chores done. Its a busy day as both clients are working but I'll stop working by dinner time and then finish up tomorrow morning before heading out to spend the afternoon with B.

It was 24° so too cold for me to want to jog this morning. Maybe tomorrow morning. I think during the winter I won't be out jogging as much. I don't mind a bit of cold but this is just more than I can handle. I'll try tomorrow though b/c we have about 10 days of rain coming and its going to be miserable for jogging. Oh well, that time of year, to be expected on the west coast. I wish we'd get a bit of snow instead of rain.

I'm going to get to work and will pop in later to read all the personals. Have a great day, everyone.

Yesterday I thought we were not going back out, but got the call that the new vacuum cleaning was in, so went to get it, but not before BIL called and let me know I have until "before Monday" to get something ready for the attorney for their cousin's estate. I worked on it last night, but it needs time! So, got to get on that. Sorry to skip personals, but thinking of you all.

Blessings to you all.

Chris, please take it easy, and I hope your sale is a success.

My Joy will be outward bound for 5 days (Mon - Fri). It's in December as it's the cheapest time of the year. The school is in a deprived area, so the Head chooses the cheapest weeks to make the trip accessible to as many children as she can.

Felis, I know days where the chores mount up like that. I hope you get chance to do the scrapping you want to do.

Glad you had fun in the pool Nancy, and had time to talk with your sister.

Trudy, so glad they will fix the dishwasher for you without charge.

We had community luncheon today. One of the old ladies I normally chat with was missing. Her husband is in ICU. I'll make a card this weekend and pop round her house after taking Joy to the coach. When Joy saw today's challenge she grinned - that's easy mummy you just make a page all about me.
