Good morning, O-zies!!!! I am so glad to see the sun shining, the past two days of grey and gloom kinda did me in. (Not going to mention that it's really cold out there. Ooops, guess I did mention it *winks*)
I had a great day yesterday- great moments in my day really. I was able to order the planters, some mulch, potting soil, and tomato cages from the Tractor Supply store. They were ready to be picked up in an hour, all I had to do was drive 2 minutes to have them tossed into the car. I was literally there and back in 10 minutes. Curbside pick-ups are one of the things I really hope sticks around post-pandemic. The prices for the stuff were really good too, the planters were more than half the price of what I found at Amazon and Home Depot. Even though it was raining, it was a huge step forward to spring. I also saw that I have one daffodil that bloomed. Literally-- One. That is in addition to my one hyacinth. I really want to start seeing some color. Hurry up, Spring!
The other really great part of my day was that I got a vax appt for Scott!!! *happy dances* NJ opened the eligibility to people who work in Public Safety and he is going to be working at County Parks keeping the public safe so we discussed it and he agreed that it would be a good decision. to do it now. I was refreshing the Vaccine Bot on Twitter when I saw at 2 pm my county was opening up a new site at 2 pm. Scott and I logged in on our own computers as soon as the website went live but you had to make an account first- I must have gotten in a split second before him because he groaned at the same time he heard me yelling Arggh!!! Then he shouts down to me if I made a password because he was locked out. I had, so he ran down and we finished the appt up together. He goes on Wed 7th, same time as Gary goes for his second. And the awesome news for him is that he is getting J&J so the three of us will be fully vaccinated in less than three weeks. Poor Cait has to wait- her second dose is the 20th :(
The not-so-ideal issue is that the three of us might be dealing with a reaction all at the same time and Caitlyn has to have a minor medical procedure on that Friday. and she is going to be recovering a few days afterward. It is going to make the next 2 weeks pretty "interesting" around here.

Not much happening here, I cleaned the LR/DR/kitchen yesterday and I think today I will do the bathrooms. Wishing everyone a fab day!

Hello my lOvelies!

I'm fine and fortunately my family and pets are healthy and happy. I'm still waiting my internet provider to send someone to unlock my new computer's connection. Something that I expected to happen automatically, but NO, they still do it manually as at pre-covid times! Pfft! As the laptop is with different IP, I'm trying to not use it here very often.

Wishing Happy Easter to all that celebrate it now (I'm next month, so eat some chocolate eggs for me! ;) )!!! Really hope to have lovely weather and funny time! :)

Hi Kay! I really hope that you start feeling better soon, it seems to be affecting your BP for such a long time, it has to be frustrating. It has to be so exciting to be making plans to see your sister!!

@taxed4ever That is such a bummer that the boys are going into lockdown- but everyone must be excited to be together for Easter. I am glad that you are going to keep swimming as long as you can do it safely.
Ugh, that is too bad about the silhouette. Is there another brand that you can get instead or is it that all cutting machines are out of stock? I hope that they come back to the stores soon.

@bcgal00 I haven't heard of Addison's in dogs, but I hope that the treatment isn't going to be too complicated. I would say the same about the expense but there is no use in wishing that part would be not too bad. :(
One thing I can say is that I am relieved that she is with good parents who will make every effort to keep her healthy. Not all dog parents would do the same. Give her some extra snuggles from us!

@scrap-genie Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! I can't believe that I am looking at a photo of snow. We had some flakes mixed in with the rain yesterday but that was it. It has to be discouraging to see it fall and stick. Blech. how neat to be able to go birding with your nephew. It feels like things are starting to slowly get back to normal, even if it is mainly being outside and/or wearing masks.

@LSlycord Your cold FL weather would be about heaven here right now.
Haha, yeah, "listen to Gary" is not something that would normally be a thing I would give any mind to back then, as I hobble around these days, I guess I have to on occasion. :D Oh wow, how amazing to watch the mama hawk with the baby, that must have been incredible to watch!

@Cherylndesigns I would never throw mental tomatoes at you- I love tomatoes. I was throwing mental peaches, I don't like peaches. ;) JK, enjoy the weather for me! The photos of Cait and Gary were taken by me in our house. When Gary first started getting sick, it mimicked Bipolar disorder (he was diagnosed with Bipolar 2 initially) and when he was in a manic phase he would buy stuff. One phase was tattoo equipment which is how we ended up with a chair/machine/ink etc. Cait got her first and so far the only tattoo for her 18th b-day/HS graduation. I got my first right after I got married- my family was pretty adamant there were no tattoos "under their roof." ha!! The tattoos that Cait and got were Mickey ears with dog prints and a bee (I am Mama B**** - MB- she is Baby B**** -BB so the Bee is one of the emojis we use with each other). I am really proud- I designed it myself. The tattoo artist tweaked the bee a tiny bit because I wasn't happy with it. It sounds like all of your "girls" tattoos are very meaningful. That is Rule #2 here.
If you need to find out how to count gallery posts, there are instructions in the Posting Team thread. LMK if you can't find it.

Linda!! I adore that idea!!!!! Good idea on t the Me too bit, sad that you have to consider it but smart.

Hi @felis!!! Hope that the computer gets figured out, so sorry that you have to deal with all of it!!

Here are pics of the tattoos, the band below mine says Caitlyn. Or at least it used to before it got old and blurry. Boo.
I have a Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey that has Scott's name between his hands. The only time you can get names tattooed is for your kids - Rule #3.
:D

Morning ladies... another interesting morning as my DH is home for the long weekend Easter Break. He will not be working until Tuesday. So guess I will be kept busy again for the next few days. LOL its all good as we hope to be outside in the fresh air a lot! I received a phone call from our son yesterday afternoon, he was pretty upset and did not know how he was going to break the news the Heather that they might not be coming to see them. They are locking down Ontario on Saturday and no gatherings indoors until further notice. Where is that rolling pin emoji?? He said that the military has given them orders to not travel as of Saturday. So I suggested that he get in his vehicle and go that night and come home on Saturday, that way he can still get in a visit and not get into trouble. He talked it over with his wife and that is what they have decided to do. A long trip for only two nights but its better than not going at all! We got a txt from them at 11pm their time that they had arrived safely. A late night for everyone I am sure, but I am glad they are getting together! Not sure what will happen with the Easter goodies I arranged for them to pick up on Saturday, but oh well I guess they will have to figure that out. I hate to think of them not getting the gifts from us but not much I can do about it. I have to go and get my grocery order this morning and then we are going to Home Depot to pick out a new kitchen faucet for the kitchen. Wow exciting times ;)! We will call the in-laws later today or tonight to see if they need any work done at their property and those will be the only people that we will probably see over the Easter weekend. :(

@faerywings - How nice that you were able to get your gardening equipment at a much better price and that it was so close! I too love the curb side pickup and hope it continues post pandemic! That is wonderful that Scott can get his vaccination and a bonus that it is the J&J one! That is what I am hoping we will be able to get too! The roll out of the shots is going painfully slow here in our Province, so hopefully by the time its our turn we will have the J&J vaccine! I love your matching tattoos!! Perhaps one day you will be able to get Caitlyn's name fixed up on your tattoo? Our son and DIL both have several tats, Jason has a really great one on his leg of a tiger and a dragon and his arms are done in the Polynesian style tattoo. Kind of like what the "Rock" has, Jackie has two lady bugs going up her one lower leg, (Isaac and Sadie). She also has a sea turtle on her other leg, both very nicely done! I will keep my fingers crossed for you all not to have any side effects from the vaccine!

@felis - So happy to hear that you are doing well and sure hope that the troubles with your computer will be resolved quickly! I am sure that some of us will enjoy some Easter chocolates for you! You will have to have some for us also when you celebrate next week! Give her and Taz some belly rubs from me!

@bcgal00 - I sure hope that you are able to keep your Remi in a non-stressed environment! It sounds like you will be very busy with her for quite some time! Ugh on the Vet bills though, sure hope they don't get too high!

@scrap-genie - Yikes you got snow!! That is no fun to see! Hope your daffodils will survive the shock! Oh and I forgot to mention that I did end up ordering my silhouette machine through ebay and at a better price!! Hooray for me LOL. I have not been inspired to start any paintings as of yet, but it could prove to be a long drawn out spring and summer so one never knows!

@LSlycord - Had to chuckle over the two of you meeting at the coffee pot once in a while! Yes it is sad that Ontario cases have gotten so bad that they have to shut down once more!! Still not really sure about the schools yet, but I guess we will hear after the Easter weekend!

@Cherylndesigns - Hope you get the gallery post count figured out! It's really so much easier than it used to be for sure! Chris has it written out very well explaining the process in the Team thread. I totally agree that everyone's sense of humour has taken a leave of absence since Covid happened. Hopefully soon it will return for all of us!

Ok I need to hit the shower and go and pick up my grocery order. Have a great Saturday everyone!

Happy Good Friday my lovlies.

Chris, I love your tats! Those are way bigger than mine! LOL - I just got one word and decided that I couldn't do anymore than that (at the time). All of my family have great big ones. I had to laugh about you saying "before it got old and blurry". Mine's getting kind of blurry now too. I keep thinking I should go and have it touched up.

You were talking about your family saying no tattoos under their roof! My husband HATES them and when I got mine, he was furious! I knew he would be, but it was "spur of the moment" and I just did it anyway. He's never been mad at me before, but he really was. I finally asked him if he was going to stop speaking for me for the rest of his life. He kind of chuckled and said he guess not. It was done and there was nothing he could do about it. Now he's over the shock and doesn't wince whenever the kids get a new one. It's kind of "a thing" with all of us.

@taxed4ever Trudy - what a perfect, clandestine plan - go and come back at night. I LOVE IT!! This sure has messed up a lot of Easter plans hasn't it? Since we don't have a proper TV, I miss (well not really) but I don't see all of the "stay home this holiday" like I used to when we had it. I'm sure it's still on. We had it at Thanksgiving and Christmas and I remember they were even trying to dictate how many people you could have in a house. (I'm not making light of this - I know it's still bad.) Not having TV really isn't a bad thing, actually. We don't get anything "live" - only have Roku, which has Netflix on it and old news, which probably any different than "new" news. LOL

@felis Felis, we'll all eat an Easter egg for you! "To Felis". I don't eat chocolate, but I'll raise a Peep to you. LOL

I've got to go down and download some files today. UGH I hope this ends soon. Yesterday, I needed to go, but they had the road torn up and it was really not worth driving around on the grass to get around the construction. It's always something here.

Well, I'm going to get back to my cleaning and re-organizing again. I'm making progress, but need to go donate a lot of stuff. I hope to have this wrapped up by the first of the week.

Hugs and waves to all.

The sun came out and it went above freezing a bit so the snow is receding, hopefully to not return. Somehow every day feels like Monday for some reason. Hope to get over that! --Yikes, a redpoll just showed up. Exciting, and our personal first April one.

@faerywings Chris, I remember when you designed those tats and you did a great job. It's just that I can't seem to get with the idea of tats at all. Don't think I realized they were so big. Wonderful news that you're all getting the vax. That and the coming of spring will give you quite a boost. And now you have the new toys from the curbside pickup. Things are looking up. (how about a dancing emoji?)

@felis Felis, sure wish you had the internet connected, but at least it's coming. We don't really do Easter, but I got some chocolate candy as a thank you from someone last week, so I can do one of those instead.

@taxed4ever Trudy, you are so clever! Great scheme to get the kids together even if not the way planned. Good for you for finding the desired machine on eBay! How fun that will be.

@Cherylndesigns Construction interference in getting to the wi-fi, that's a new one. The price you pay for the early stages of your "compound" I guess.

@LSlycord I like the idea of nesting hawks for you. Do you know what kind? Maybe Red-shouldered? In your FL weather, you must find my snow bizarre (I sure do).

Here's to a great weekend!

@scrap-genie you are good! It is a red-shouldered hawk. Most of my life was spent I the Midwest so I’m used to snow. But I forget that everyone isn’t in summer like I am. At least to me it seems like I am in summer.

@felis, so glad that you stopped by. I’m sorry about the computer problems. It is so very wearing! I’ll be sure to think of you when I have chocolate!

@taxed4ever I am so glad that you son and his wife figured out how to still go to Heather’s. You must be so proud of your two. And I hope that you can figure out a place to get your birthday gift. It is a special birthday after all!

@Cherylndesigns I hope that next week is WiFi week! You are really deserving after everything you have been through.

@faerywings love your tattoos with the kids’ names. So we have one more idea. I have a card where my mom wrote ”love you”. We have been talking to my niece about when we go back to Iowa, getting matching tattoos. When my mom died, that niece drew a rose with a heart in the center, and we added it to the program. Then, when Dad and I went to get their headstone, we had the rose engraved on their headstone. So I think my niece (maybe lots of my nieces LOL), Syd and I are going to get that rose, with ”love you” in Mom’s handwriting as the stem. Shaun is even talking about getting it done too!
