I made it! I somehow survived yesterday in all of my glory of major mood swings. And hoo boy, I felt like I was on the Pirate Ship carnival ride, like this one:
I don't even know what I did other than the trip up to the vet. But my goodness, that vet is such a good person and doctor. Cait brought Dilly in, he looked her over and said that he would be very careful but that the surgery should be fine. Said he was going to do her right then and to wait in the car so we could bring her home. 40 minutes later, we were on our way with a very groggy rattie. She is doing great. It was a mammary tumor- benign- and easy to remove. She was scarfing down treats in her cage on the ride home. I was relieved that we didn't have to wait all day to get the all-clear from the vet.
I was able to reprint some of the tax forms and mine and Gary's are filed. When Scott gets home from work (!!!YAY!!!) this afternoon, I will have him sign and mail his. Today is his official first day on the job and he is amazed that he is getting paid to drive to different parks in the area to make sure that there aren't any issues and that is it. Collect permits, answer visitor questions, and maintain a County presence. His "home base" park is a 3-minute drive from our house, he picks up a work truck, drives around the county, and then drops the truck off at the end of the shift. He is just so happy to have a job.
Not much happening here, it is still quite chilly outside so I won't be doing yard work. I can wait. Laundry is big on my list. Woo hoo.
Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend!
