Hello aArtists!

It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 09.18.20 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: On Saturday the AnnaTeam posts one creative page from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

The vibrant blue of a summer sea captivates our imagination. Nicole, known in the gallery as cyanne22, captures the feel of a cool clear sea in her artistry. The focal image is framed and lifted from the design. The swimmers wade into the refreshing water. The use of vertical masks create the illusion of a larger image by repeating the blues in patterns and splashes of water. This movement and energy contrasts with the subtle textures of paint and stitches that play on the white background. Nicole repeats the strong vertical lines in the journaling. Beautiful descriptive language reflects on the feel of the waves and taste of the sea. The title is accented with a scripted text. Drops of water and a small fish are playful accents which add depth to the design. With the vibrant color and vertical imagery, Nicole creates a stunning design for this summer memory.

IDEAS TO INSPIRE: Use ONE or MORE of the following in your AnnaLift layout.

  • Use a photo or multiply photos clipped to masks or frames to design a seasonal memory.
  • Use vertical or horizontal masks to extend your photo.
  • Align the text with your photo.
  • Use vibrant color for emphasis and for visual impact.
  • Add a single element for dimension or add stitching for texture.
