Hello aArtists!

It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects a creative page or design concept from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 07.02.21 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: On Saturday the AnnaTeam posts a creative concept from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

If you’ve never challenged yourself to an AnnaLift—just do it!

If you’ve never posted or shared your AnnaLift—just do it!

If you have time to leave some love for someone in the gallery—do it too!
(Your kind words may inspire and encourage someone!)

Please post your art in this thread and link to the Anna Aspnes gallery to win the $5 giftcard.

In this Challenge, use artsy techniques and photo effects in your art journaling or memory pages:

Colorful Portrait by Marleen

In Colorful Portrait, Marleen creates a dynamic portrait. Deep shadows from the portrait provide the graphic and bold lines of Marleen’s signature style. Subtle colors touch the eyes and lips while soft swashes of pink, yellow, and blue paint the ground. Bold red accents frame the face. Heavy lines shatter and splatter the image for tension but do not detract from the expressive face. A scripted title contains a mysterious numeric code. Marleen creates an artistic and stunning design to inspire our artistry.

Agree to Disagree by nancyr

In Agree to Disagree, nancyr shares a memory of a recent dinner. As titled, the young couple appeared to agree to disagree. nancyr uses a bold, grunge styling to capture the tension. Heavy reds with strokes of white work beautifully with a desaturated photo effect. The distress framed holds the couple together while the a faint echo dominates the ground. Perhaps, the ghosted overlay is a statement that the disagreements faded. The metal heart accents the frame for dimension. nancyr creates a stunning design to inspire our artsy storytelling.

Thank you, Marleen and nancyr, for sharing your expressive and inspirational artistry.

No people, no events. Had a bird remaining not scrapped from our refuge photos. OK. He's a portrait. LOL. ;)

Beautiful work! Sighting a new bird for your collection is a wonderful event! I love ripped paper edges!

My goal today was to rest and play with something new. I purchased some new PS CC actions. For Science before Vacation I used the Shock Wave action and then put it in a prismatic fotoblendz. I used the speech bubbles from the Comic Book set.

This is my first challenge for a long time now that I have a little more time in my life it won't be the last. I colored the face by using a blank layer with Blend Mode "Color"
Gorgeous colors! The dramatic sky is beautifully reflected in her eyes!

I removed my previous page because I didn't like the editing of the photo, the face had such a sad look, I've made this now, everything a bit happier.

Stunning use of contrast for drama! The effect of the red, black and white color scheme is very bold! I love the swirls and swashes in her hair!
