Hello aArtists!

It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 06.26.20 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: Each Saturday the AnnaTeam posts one creative page from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

Pia, also known as pkfotografie, has created an elegant double exposure. The vision depicts a memory locked away or perhaps a dream of impending adventures. The canvas is filled with the silhouette of a young woman with dramatic eyes and graceful poise. She has a hint of a shadow to separate her from the scene. Yet, she is being consumed by the quiet night. The night contains the golden light from a dimly lit street with the deep browns of shadowy doorways. The lighting creates an abstract scene of geometric shapes and textures. Soft blue letters give a hint for thought and word… including the ampersand she wears for an earring. An artsy stroke and a delicate script complete the image. The image is raised and framed. Stitching completes the top edge. Layers of impasto and script are echoed in the frame. pkfotografie has skillfully blended multiple images to inspire us with reality or a dream…

IDEAS TO INSPIRE: Use ONE or MORE of the following in your AnnaLift layout.



  • Combine images from your memories or dreams with text for art journaling.
  • Experiment with an analogous color scheme or try a monochromatic with accents.
  • Use Multiple images and Layer masks to create an artsy memory.
  • Use transfers, spackle and paint strokes to paint your image.
  • Add a variety of elements like frames, stitchez, artsy strokes, or branches to contain your images.
