Hello aArtists!

It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 05.29.20 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: Each Saturday the AnnaTeam posts one creative page from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

isDK shares her fractal artistry with us this week. isDK utilizes a double page format to create a world full of color and light. The double page allows the fractal to sweep across the spread in a swirl of marvelous translucent light. Following the suggestion of light breaking a watery surface, she introduces a foreground of bright tropical fish. isDK has selected cool blues, pinks, and touches of greens for her tropical vision. She applies a delicate tension between the circular fractal core and the angular frames. Repetition of the flowing fractal arms is seen in the patterns of the fish. A simple blade of seaweed adds dimension. isDk has created a vibrant and unique vision of life and color.

IDEAS TO INSPIRE: Use ONE or MORE of the following in your AnnaLift layout.



  • Create a story or thematic design: real or imagined.
  • Experiment with a bright color scheme.
  • Use Fotoglows to give your design light and contrast.
  • Use transfers, stains and splatters to paint your image.
  • Add a variety of elements like buttons, charms, flowers to create a cluster.

In case you're curious, I'm often first because I tend to go with the first idea or thing that might work if I put my mind to it and I have my products organized so I can find almost anything I want in under a minute. I go with the flow a lot and try not to overthink it and just ship it, even when I get nagged by something later and have to go back.

an amazing page to lift, thanks to nancy adams and isDK. my mind is occasionally in a kind of lockdown mode, so it took many attempts and the result is nevertheless so lala

I was really intrigued with trying to incorporate fractal images onto a layout. Thanks for the challenge! I was also inspired by helenedubois' page, so this ended up being a sort of double scraplift!
