I'm struggling with getting the lace texture overlays to show up more.
I've tried different blending modes; tried adjusting the hue and saturation; tried putting a white layer on as overlay.Tried duplicating it etc.
I don't like it staying this faint black colour

what can you suggest??

What are you trying to do? Just make it a bit darker? Try a multiply layer and reduce opacity as desired. Does this help? Or are you trying to add a shadow?

hi Ellen :)
i actually like the lace overlays (i assume u r talking about the edges) placed on a darker background and set to divide. for non-edges u can try having two copies of overlay. add a drop shadow to bottom layer then separate the drop shadow from the overlay so that it is on its own layer. now ctrl click on the overlay layer and with the shadow layer selected hit delete. this should leave a nice shadow around the edge without darkening the lace. i hope this makes sense. if not, message me :)

I'd like to make them lighter .I didn't get that using your method Adryane but... I suddenly had a brainwave and solved it . I only needed to load the brush set and take it from there- duhhh.

thanks for your input ladies.
