My DH took this photo and said I could use it. This is a single photo and shows just how long it takes for a puffin to really get airborne - not sure their body shape is that conducive to flying but they do it!
I really thought that the white-tailed eagle or sea eagle would be the rarest of the birds. But we saw so many. The prey was plentiful. The are bigger than a golden eagle. It was amazing seeing them fly!
While puffins were my main bird to see, we were able to see lots of others and even harbor seals in the water. We saw black guillemots, razorbills, herring gulls, black backed gulls, shags and gannets
