    One of my favorite spots at Shaw Nature Reserve during early Autumn. The prairie grasses are taller than me. I love being surrounded by nature. I especially love foggy, moisture laden autumn days.

    This is one of many types of slime molds - Cerratiomyxa fruticulosa. Its fruiting body appears in the summer.....but is snow white and covers fallen trees...looking like snow ;-)
