  1. Winter Owl Bonanza

    Winter Owl Bonanza

Our owl trips to Amherst Island in 1979 were amazing and we've never forgotten the special feel of going through the woods and roads finding the owls, particularly Great Gray and this intense-gazed Northern Hawk Owl. Hard to believe it was so long ago.

    ATC Memorable Detour

This was possibly our most memorable birding event in the month of August. We learned of the presence of the Wood Storks while in Kentucky and got to see them in southern Ohio by detouring from our usual route home. It was so special.

    2022 Members' Exhibit

We didn't do much in 2022 so putting a piece in the members' exhibit of a local arts group may have been my highlight of the year. This is one of my mixed media collage pieces called "Surrounding".

    AJ1 Connections Everywhere

I used trees as symbols of the natural world, the plants, animals, weather, and all. Also for family trees and the connections to family now and past and to others finding their way through the trees.

    ATC Free Bird

Free Bird is a song that never lost it's appeal for many people. The lyrics don't necessarily all carry my feelings but the free bird does.
