I found the answer. Should have listened to the whole conversation last week LOL They corn plant wont be sweet corn, which is what my son wanted to eat. It will be corn for grinding to make corn bread, flour, etc. So it will be able to use it, just not as corn on the cob like DS3 was hoping.
