Thank you! You noticed the backpack on the hooks! When we went to pick up Oz on Friday, what struck me was all the hooks on the fence with the kids backpacks :-) It's just another little sign of their growing independence.
Did you see Anna's Aug 30 newsletter? I LOVED the layout of Ella and lifted it here. Followed her process to a T:
Artsy paper foundation and string from APP Gadabout
Overlayed with a Skyline BrushSet city scene
Extracted Oz and applied a Drop Shadow

Thanks so much - nice point about the softer focus photo - I knew there must be a good reason the photographer kept it. I don't know much about photography, but I know my niece, and this photo is her :-)
A page for my garden journal about transplanting and the collection on my back balcony (which needs to be cleaned off before the winter).
I chose 2 pages from FotoInspired 3L (2 & 3) and brought in all layers from both pages, resizing to fit. Clipped photos to frames, added Levels Adjustments...
Wonderful! Love the building colors, the frame behind, and the way the focal image extends to the edges with texture and the use of the edges of the crackle frame - great idea!
"Fabulous" double page. That brown/peachy color provides soft and wonderful contrast with the green. Nice use of the frames and great balance across the page!
You always do such an incredible job with lifts (and all pages!). This is beautiful white space, wonderful photos, great layers and perfect embellishments. Well done!
What work - you really are elevating to Fabulous! Love the filters (must check them out, never used some of them) and perfect elements! Oh I think the song just popped into my head ;-)
It is indeed bittersweet... I need a grandmother support group :-) But now more than ever I thinkk about Oz and Bo looking back at these books, so I pour my time and love into the pages :-)
Thank you, I enjoyed customizing the embellishments with fitting words and sentiments. Oz declares himself nervous but he is doing a great big-boy job :-)
Nice techniques! I am not familiar with the filters but they are giving wonderful effects. Sldo like the lace and the gold dots! Great title! I wish I had time for this class but I still have a backlog of 2 I haven't finished ;-)
An interesting effect of working with other's photos is I don't feel compelled to use too many (?). There were a lot of photos taken on the balcony outside L'Hotel de Ville. I just picked a few, continuing the use of the Hipster Plume Album, Jouissance and Bliss palettes and MM.
The large photo...
Oz's last day at Montessori school and last post-Montessori play times at Nana's house - big changes!
Often when I use FotoInspired, I don't add as many embellishments. Here I tried something different, adding lots, but in 3 big clusters, 2 of them very vertical.
The process is place, move...
Very creative addition of frames and elements to the cityscape! Especially like the frames and the way everything encircles the image. Making it b&w is especially effective!
A very nice culmination of your trip. I like the contrast between the left and right, open and full, a bit of whimsey added to reality. Nice way to fit in a lot of photos!
