@FloridaGranny @AK_Tracy Thanks so much. Simplette has two sets of brush rays like that and I have used them a lot in the short time I've had that kit. I also realized I forgot one of the sisters....THREE of Aschel Tompkins' sisters had husbands die in the war in 1863.

I was inspired by the theme and title in "I Was Only 19" by Redgum.

Layout features my ancestor, who died at age 19 during the Civil War, the same year as his two brothers-in-law.

I went a little more literal with the storybook theme. When my grandson was born, I gave him a few children's books that belonged to my father, and I wanted to pay homage to the little Gene Autry cowboy book that we gave him. I wish I had taken a photo of the book at the time.
