I thought this was absolutely beautiful by Dorina; it is titled The Breath of Earth. Love the strip across the page with the framing and ivy. It was a tough decision! So many beautiful LOs.
I like the way you blended the gradient over the wood paper, and then used the elements in a tiny, spread out format. I never think to do that, and I should! Thanks for the inspiration!
Those little out of the way places with gracious owners are always the best. I avoid chains whenever possible! I like your paints and layering on your take for the sketch challenge.
You are always so creative in the way you layer in photos and brush work behind. Really beautiful and a great perspective on the image. The sky and the water become one.
I think you did a terrific job on this, and I agree with Jeanne that you need to take it easy on yourself. But...I get it. I struggle in the same way with art journaling style...always overthinking it. Btw, this looks like it was a ton of fun.
These are great street shots. So much character. I like you embellishments, showing that it was a trip to England. The wavy title work is perfect with this page.
Your photo treatment on this is simply gorgeous and layering in the "real" photos at the bottom is just perfect. Your title work - as usual - is so wonderful. I had to really look at this to see where your blending ended and the paper background began. Masterful.
Hi, Grace. Looks like everyone is ready for summer. We have had just a few truly hot days, but this looks like a place I want to be. Look at that sky! Gorgeous layering.
How did I miss seeing this when it was posted a few days ago? Love, love the image of you. I had a crocheted vest that was very similar, but mine had a ladybug and was bordered in sky blue and orange. I like the way the "O" is mimicked by the goggles!
I love the humor of attending the party. Plus, the juxtaposition of the formal photo with the grungy, textured background really is inspired. Add in the silly font style, and the stylistic choices are all over the place, adding to the complete charm of this LO! Love it.
This is really lovely. Your mix of bird images and paper in the circles is really interesting, then mixing it with the splashing is really nice. This page looks deceptively simple, but I bet took some real time to put together.
