    One of my favorite spots at Shaw Nature Reserve during early Autumn. The prairie grasses are taller than me. I love being surrounded by nature. I especially love foggy, moisture laden autumn days.

    This is one of many types of slime molds - Cerratiomyxa fruticulosa. Its fruiting body appears in the summer.....but is snow white and covers fallen trees...looking like snow ;-)

    Quiet moments are the best. I wish I could escape human noise...no matter where I go these days there is always an airplane, a lawn mower, or the sound of the highway (cars). The constant buzz is driving me nuts. So if I could freeze time for a moment, I'd like it be in a very quiet place...
