This is amazing - Leknes is where we docked in the Lofoten Islands. Again the scenery is breathtaking!

It felt so strange to actually have time in Tromso to smell the flowers. It is also so nice now that we are moving south to see plants in bloom!

Now the cruise is heading south and our stop was in the town of Tromso. We had a great trip around the city and also had time to see the town on foot and buy souvenirs. One of my favorite stops was the Arctic Cathedral.

My DH took this photo and said I could use it. This is a single photo and shows just how long it takes for a puffin to really get airborne - not sure their body shape is that conducive to flying but they do it!
I really thought that the white-tailed eagle or sea eagle would be the rarest of the birds. But we saw so many. The prey was plentiful. The are bigger than a golden eagle. It was amazing seeing them fly!
