We've visited many botanical gardens over the years, but Dallas was unique in that so many of the little sitting nooks were actually OCCUPIED. There were a ton of people just finding a quiet and beautiful place to read or sit or picnic.
Here is my mood board challenge - such interesting choices! I was inspired by the following: #3 - drawn multi-colored circles, #5 - leaves lining the sides, #7 - both the multi-media background and the outlines of the botanicals, #8 - the garden path, #9 - the simple multi-colored flowers.
It was some tall grass, LOL. Going from patch to patch in the experimental section was truly interesting! The grasses were all sizes and colors, and so were the hydrangea. I never new the corymbs - the flower clusters on hydrangea - could be so many different shapes.

This is such an adorable photo and everyone is so happy. Grandparents are the best, and I so get the "seen and not heard" part! Lovely use of all the elements and I like the way it looks like you just tossed them down on the page and the papers all fell diagonally.
