This is such a pretty take on the challenge! The flowers and patterns have a very nostalgic feel for me, I think they remind me of embroidered handkerchiefs. The text background is a nice touch, too.

I like the colors too! Blue and gold isn't typical for a bird layout, I think. I like the art-journaly feel.

Very interesting, how you blended the two photos. I like the partial framing if your subject.

I would have to agree that the scent of lilacs is my favorite. Lily of the valley is a close second for flowers. Almond is also a favorite of mine.
