I knew it really was spring as I watched three bunnies chasing in the snow, either playing or just fighting over the treats I left for them. All winter I had never seen them running around and they would hurry out for a treat and right back into their homes in hedges.
Thanks for the challenge, Ona. I used Cartoon Pro for my photo and then Aetherize for my bunny's hedge, and a simple halftone for the snow which I blended into the paper.
Biden saw magnolia blossoms, Mary saw a butterfly, and I saw five inches of snow.
Spring was here for more than a week but we still saw lots of snow. It was heavy and wet and melted quickly but a lot of gray days didn't feel like spring. Temperatures still got down to 11F and no higher than 40...
Thanks Adryane for the challenge. They always push me in a good direction. :D
The colors of the Ukraine flag, and a good time to catch up my book on developments, especially when my stash of trip photos is pretty much used up.
A counteroffensive was coming and we were proud to support Ukraine. The war crimes were personal to us, and we knew this wasn't just some story one side made up for political purposes. It was very real for us and we hoped Ukraine could take back its land with support from NATO.
Thank Adryane for the challenge. I definitely need it to stretch my skills. Have to look in different parts of the sky to get all of the colors, but there are birds everywhere. :p
It's a very special morning when the moon is setting in the west just as the sun is about to come up. This is all right before we make two left turns and get blasted for the next fifteen minutes with the sunrise. Because they are headed south, we know the cranes have gone in search of their...
Well as you saw on my page, it sure came in like a lion out here! I hope the blossoms will stay on the trees. Love your photo crop and treatment, or maybe it is a painting. :p
Strong winds, over 40 mph, were predicted for every day we were in Alamosa. We watched tiny birds in the tree outside our window that seemed to hang on for dear life. I knew my photos through the screen wouldn't be great, but I hoped to find out what kind of birds they were.
Yes, they were ordinary ducks during crane season, but I hoped to see what kinds of ducks and maybe learn something. It was so dark I just pointed & prayed. It wasn't like I'd miss something when it was that dark. But we'd always go early because the light changes by the minute.

This is about our spring bird migration season along the Rocky Mountain Flyway.
We drove by the pullout where we were pretty sure there were no cranes to see, and there were several cars. I thought maybe they didn't have long lenses but were still able to enjoy the birds flying in front of the sun. It's also possible there were birds there we never saw.
