I have a couple of scanners. I need to see if I can do that with mine. My current one is a cannon as is a slimline I have stored somewhere. What a great tip!
Background is damask paper 01 in Darken mode at 35% opacity over paper 01 in Lighten mode over watercolor paper 01. I then added the temple element in overlay mode above the background, then added edging, title, and a couple of elements.
I see from our other thread that this might be a good thread to have. Let's hear your thoughts on handling, sorting, and storing old and digital photos. I have so few physical photos that I am not overwhelmed with them. I have already scanned my mother's photos and done a printed Shutterfly...
I am green with envy! My Dad does have boxes of slides but I'm not sure how to convert them to usable photos. Beyond that, I have 3 small boxes of photos. I DO have a ton of digital photos and digital copies of old photos shared bt my cousins. I am so blessed to come from HUGE families that...
On The Footsteps of Paul tour September 2003

I am so sad about your losses during Katrina. My life changed differently than yours because of that storm - we were Salvation Army officers at the time - and didn't suffer the loss in the same way. I can only imagine your heartache, even now so many years later.
I'd like to hear on time...
Celestine, I am so happy about your comments on color. While I sometimes scrap in neutrals for my heritage pages I have long said to people that our ancestors' lives were in full living color and we should not be afraid of using color - and lots of it. The Pilgrims did not, in fact, dress in...
Yeah, real life takes a lot of time doesn't it? I too have fewer photos for my second child when he was little but more when he was in high school because he was a Bandie. Now that I am retired I thought I would have more time for my 2 favorite hobbies - other than sleeping. Not!
Paper 01 in Linear Burn mode over paper 3a in Lighten mode over brush 2 duplicated over paper 17. Added overlays above the paper, papercut and frame elements with masked photo. I copied and pasted parts of the washi tape to get the look I wanted, added the ink brush to the lower right of the...
Journaling reads:
Sunday worship on the Isle of Patmos was amazing. The chanting of the monks as we listened to the message added to the serenity and holiness of the day for us. The sound of our worship in song added immeasurably to their worship as well. Shared with 43 friends made it a...
