The central part of the background is a marvelous connection for the photos. We have been dealing with real-feel temps in the 100s so your page is super-refreshing!
I like your placement of the butterfly--it seems wistful. Hard to say goodbye to some of our favorite perennials, but always love to know they will be returning next year!
Thank you! Sometimes it feels like I'm stacking up a pile of playing cards. I've seen the kids (yes, the adult ones) evaluate the photo choices to see how many of the ones they've taken have made it into the book...big juggling challenge over here!
Moving right along on this year's family vacation album, this spread is about taking the whole gang out to one of my favorite places—Monomoy Island—to look for seals. My husband and I have hiked this area shore-side and have seen lots of seals from the land, and I've rowed around in a dinghy...
Love this, particularly because personality shines through so loud and clear. The botanicals are a terrific enhancement for the setting of the action, too. Thanks for the shout-out!
When Chris climbs up on the bucket and freehands the chainsaw! EEEEEEEKKKKKKK! What a video! Don't you love including QR codes? Really brings the story to life and certainly adds to the drama. BTW I had no idea you could do videos through Dropbox--I've been using a You Tube channel.
Love your little Effigy Guy! It's a perfect illustration. I feel like that guy, there's just some weird energy lately, maybe made worse by the relentless heat/humidity, which we have too. Love the barn swallow picture and catching up with life through your journaling.
Thanks--and thanks for noticing the underlying challenge of those colors. Wowzers, was THAT ever a trial-and-error situation, but I was finally pleased with the results.
Thank you! And, yes, it's always amazing how intuitive the button-pressing is with the little ones...I still struggle with our ancient remote, which is simple by comparison!
