The selfie stick lasted six months, and not having it was a disaster for a lot of my photos. Standing in the marsh, I was eaten alive by mosquitos. There were very few birds on the water, although lots of songs. The sun climbed into clouds, so lighting was mostly like on a rainy day. Still my...
I debated long and hard about trying this, but decided if you can make the leaves green, you can make them red white and blue. :D So I was inspired by @anke55
Garth released XDX Beta .98, which meant we would now inch our way to a product for the marketplace. But I needed much bigger chunks of time to work on it than I did for Jux, and I hoped I could find a way to help him out. And, poor guy, he was also forced to find a new web host.
The tallest shrubs at the Meadowlark Trail pullout turned out to be a favorite place for birds to visit, but they usually didn't stay when we took the path. The yellow-headed blackbirds didn't take off when we thought they would, so I enjoyed seeing some of their social interaction.
I was wanting to try ViVa's Iluminations, and this challenge was the perfect chance. I started with one of her elements, and replaced parts of the design until it turned out I kept just the green vine. LOL. I used Regina's Blue Lagoon mostly, and after we saw the money penny seeds at the...
On the Fourth of July on the wildlife refuge, the red was the sunrise, there were a few insignificant white flowers and the sky was the blue. The salute was to the National Wildlife Program, but we were the only visitors every morning, and that's how we liked it, holiday or any day.
When you spotted the deer and stopped, she stood still and stared at the jeep for the longest time. Then she slowly made a start from the north pasture, across the road and to the south. We had already had a wonderful morning and felt even more fortunate for having planned our early start.
Too easy, I thought. But how could I make it ... different? Off I went to find a paper that would play nice with my beautiful sunrise, and used one in Rachel's "Whatever the Weather" collection. And wow! There was a perfect sun and word art. :D
On Monday there wasn't a cloud in the sky when we got to MVNWR, but we planned to have to just chill a bit because we had mistaken the time of sunrise. Instead, we enjoyed the birds and the lighting so much that we made a plan for the rest of the week to be early every day.
Here's mine. I missed the part about fonts and alphas and made the whole page--twice!!! o_O
Also, please note that the sea in this case is a small pond 1600+ miles from either ocean, and my typography reflects that. :)
By the time we got to our hotel in Alamosa, we were both very tired, but our short trips to the wildlife refuge east of town and Blanca Park (to see the sweet peas again) were well worth it. There weren't many birds, but we were in our happy place and we gathered plenty of memories.
Thanks. That is the color we've seen when sun rises during forest fires here. You don't get the fog layer when that happens, though. This was just a dirty dark orange sky. :D
The text in my design is poking out from behind the fractal in the frame. This was the closest thing I could think of, that would be remotely similar to hoodsmom's intriguing work. ;)
When I didn't have ways to use my fractals in my work, I didn't make as many. I couldn't see my results for more than a day or so. I worked on ways to use them and I was also trying to get better at using red white and blue on pages. I learned a fun way to get the results I'd been after.
By the end of June the tiny bunnies were growing fast. The one whose ears were about all you could see had a favorite spot, and then in just a few days he was much bigger and looked down at the garden hose. I thought he might have liked the sound of the water running through it.
