On the Sunday before Labor Day, we were immersed in summer and had been having record high temperatures. But when we drove onto the Alamosa refuge, rabbitbrush in bloom and so many vibrant colors in the grasses got us both instantly excited. Signs of fall were everywhere.
Thank you for the challenge. I used three fonts by one designer, Callie Hegstrom Rian from right here in Colorado.
Fonts are Pacific Palisades, Ocean Avenue Holes and Bubbletea.
Getting ready for our September trip to Alamosa, I had spinal injections on Friday. It was such a hopeful time, but I no longer had the cast iron stomach. Just my normal sleeping pills caused another sleepless night with serious cramping. We'd go, but with a more flexible schedule.
Thanks for the challenge. Attitude is everything, and knowing the sun is always up there is good for many of my challenges. Just happened to see this amazing cloud that painted the bunnies pink the other day. :D
I had only seen mammatus clouds in the past, when there was a wildfire in our region. But on this evening we were just expecting rain. I went out
because the sky was such a strange bright color. The baby bunnies were munching away, not at all phased by the weather or my camera.
This is Mr. DK and the photo is from 2010, listed in 3 places in journaling. Thanks for the challenge. He bought a new machine and when he saw this it brought back all of how heavy that rental beast was.
Going way back, I found a page out of 2010 where I had taken a photo of you. Even back then, I knew you weren't very comfortable getting your picture taken, so I used the Billy Goat as an excuse, and I loved h9w you smiled. In August you finally started taking a few selfies
The blackbirds were all gathered in one place and when they flew, they stayed together in a mass. Later we saw some new birds we hadn't seen before. One scolded some yellow-headed blackbirds. We soon saw that they were hungry fledglings and both parents were feeding them.
After about a zillion hours of EMDR I'm not angry but this stuff still triggers fear and I do worry about humans suffering just because of where they are born, and if there's more I could do if only I knew what. ;)
I found some new Halloween stuff in the design shop and it inspired me to finally make a poster that had kicked around in my head for a long time. A page in my book gave me an excuse to also save some quotes I wanted to keep. Having lived as a child with a terrorist, Ukraine is a huge deal for me.
Love how the bird runs by and I see the photo on the right just before I get to the gate and enter into your wonderful page of memories. Great job with the elements!
The blue heron moved slowly, so I also watched lots of other birds come and go. Just north of the little cove where the heron was fishing, there were at least five night herons, maybe many more in nests that we couldn't see at that distance. I also learned about hardstem bulrushes he was...
At RMPT for physical therapy, in a special room where there was always a treadmill when it was RMHC. I looked up and made Gabe stop everything so I could get a photo of the sun dog. He'd never heard of them, so I explained. They're amazing. Ice up there and it was 93ºF.
