We managed to fit in a short hike to Little Qualicum Falls on Vancouver Island while staying with friends. I got the idea for the design for this from Anna's Wildflower Artsy Layered Template. I coloured and blended 2 Wildflower transfers as a background for the photos, 'borrowed' some frames...

This little bird is a species of finch easily distinguished by its colouring. I sometimes see flocks of them flying in lines fairly low to the ground. They're seed eaters but occasionally eat insects too.

This is a tiny bird that rarely appears above the shrub canopy. It's very shy and lives on insects and spiders it finds in amongst thick foliage. It is named for its six striking filamentous tail feathers which are longer than the bird's body itself. It will run like a mouse with its tail...

That's such a great photo of you. Your character shines through. Cactus isn't my favourite plant in nature but I'm guessing it has symbolic meaning for you and I do love how the flowers compliment your scarf.
