I am slowly working on some pages in a couple of different journals. When I get 'stuck' one project I leave it and go and tackle another one. So I move between the projects as I think of different things I can add or change etc. :) Here is an older faery double page I did a little while ago...

Just depends on your software program I think Diane, in CC Photoshop all you need to do is just drag the .abr file from your Explorer and drop it in the Brushes panel, the same for pattern, shapes, styles etc. It's super easy to do it these days. Not sure with Elements whether you can just drag...

I don't use templates very often at all, and when I do, I end up changing them so much that they don't look anything like what they started off to be. If I need to work with a template for CT work however, I am very careful to try and keep the original look, but it takes a lot of concentration...

Evelyn, try this with your alpha. 1. Drag your letters onto your page (don't resize yet), if you need a double letter, go to the layer with letter and hit CTRL+J to duplicate that layer (letter). 2. Once you have all of your letters, highlight all of the layers and resize the alpha to suit...
