As you know, my sweet sister-in-law passed away a month ago. My brother has been going through all of the things Audrey had collected as she had many hobbies, books and supplies. He came across my parents' photo albums that we all thought had been thrown away! I am so excited as I thought those photos from my childhood were gone forever!
 
That is as awesome thing to find, a true treasure. Most of our family photos were lost when our house burned when I was in HS

Oh my, that is such precious news, Evelyn. I'm so very happy for you. Most of my mother's photo collection was thrown out after she passed, so all I have are memories of the hundreds of photos she had saved through the years. Some of them she first showed me when I was a small child, introducing me to two of my grandparents (I never knew), and her ten siblings and my father's siblings, some I never got to meet. Those photos will be etched in my memory forever. ♥

Oh, Debby! I am so sorry to hear about your photos being lost in a fire! Have you contacted relatives and friends to see if they have any photos of your family? I was able to get some from relatives when I thought our albums were lost.

Oh, Betty Jo! I know how heartbreaking that is because I thought our albums were gone for good. I remembered photos that had been taken and I could picture them in my mind but thought they were gone for good. Have you contacted relatives and friends to see if they have any photos of your family? I was able to get some from relatives when I thought our albums were lost.

Yes, my brother and wife were able to send me a few copies of some they had, plus some photos of relatives from Ancestor.com. I'm so happy for you finding the albums. It's better than finding gold! ♥
