Love the contrasts of light and dark and how you've anchored the display with 2 simple "stripes" held down by a leaf. So many little details to discover.
Ah and I thought I'd gone bananas , I was so sure to have replied to it.:D
I did use encaustic art many years ago in the olden days, still have all the goods to work with it.
However mine consisted of melting the wax on the iron -( I hate ironing but on this special occasion am happy to use...
I usually see a pattern or a book with patterns that I really like , buy that and find some yarn in my vast stack of yarn. If I have not got what I want I'll just order it online as the nearest proper wool shop is nearly 2 hours drive away .
Is it real wool or a mixture of wool and acrylic...
Thank you, the monkey is a wobble ball. The blue blanket took 1700 grams of wool, it's a single bed size. Mosaic crochet takes more than usual as you crochet in single lines rather than turn and go back. Normally a single blanket would take 15 x100 grams.
I'm doing lots of crochet-ing mainly children's toys , cuddlies and my latest love mosaic crochet blankets. This means I not only have a scrapping addiction ( dormant at the moment) but also a wool and cotton yarn addiction.
After a long absence I found Photoshop again.High time to use all the goodies I bought and stored.
