For all the non-Aussies out there...........this is a Wombat. It's a marsupil (carries a baby in the pouch# and is very endangered and only found in Australia - er not Western Australia though!
Journaling: One of my favourite animals before we came to Australia was #and still is# the Wombat.I had every intention of having a wombat as a pet. I did the research and found out I needed to put chicken wire under the grass as they dig....a lot! Trouble is that the one most important bit of research that I forgot to look at was whether they do in fact exsist is Western Australia. And they do not - so sadly no pet wombat for me!!!!
