Process: Have you ever experimented with a photo, gotten some results that you liked, but then couldnt figure out how to replicate the look again? I did on this layout. I had to repeat my process three times before I knew what happened. While the photo on the lower right is simply attached to a watercolor fotoblendz mask, the photos on the 4x6 postcards were created with a different sketch technique that I saw in a recent newsletter from Digital Scrapper. But first I used the pen tool to extract my camellia, attaching the selection to a layer mask. I got the sketch to work on the cards by changing the blend mode to multiply. I struggled bringing back the color with a painted look until I started playing with the new AnnaBlendz Artsy No. 4 brushes and then placed the three photo layers on the postcards. Only then was I able to replicate the look on the postcards. Behind the flowers is a copy of the paper with a transfer and postmark brush below. I used a hue and saturation adjustment layer to get the pink rather than yellow. The layers below are layers from the template along with solid paper_4. I also attached a hue and saturation layer to the paper to change the color a little. Some of the layers I deleted; I adjusted the opacity on others or moved them to fit my needs. To finish, I added the stitching, buttons, a label and a couple more of the postmarked brushes. The brushes on the postcards and the title were given an engraved look with a style. I used the templates journaling block to finish.
