Winter Silence

My rambling journaling on this page wasnt meant to be read, but used as a design element. Sort of like the snow is covering it up.

Notes: Starting with solid paper 2 as the foundation after I opened the template, I clipped all the photos to their respective masks. Underneath I slipped in the fotoinspired edge template, coloring it white, and framing the whole business with the scratched overlay. There is also a transfer running down the middle of the large photo, overlapping the bottom middle mask to which I had clipped solid paper 1. After selecting all the layers except the background and with the transform tool, reduced the size to give the page breathing space.

Various masks were put on Vivid Light and Linear Light blend modes. The bottom left photo was duplicated and the Cut Out filter used with that layer blended to Color Burn. I used Blend Ifs on the mask to give it a grungy look.

I typed out the large winter and spread out the tracking and blended to Linear Burn. Then I added the smaller words of the title also blended to Linear Burn. Over and under these layers I placed the art strokes and pasted in my journaling and using Blend Ifs.

Going forward, I added a chevron texture on the largest photo and reduced the opacity, a fine edge frame to the bottom left photo and a tape to the upper left corner.

Finalling I placed the ribbon, attached the beads and gave them a drop shadow. Underneath those I placed the png MM Rain, because we are having a mild winter with snow and rain mixed. That finished it.
Adore the FI frames and your winter silence snow photos! The ribbon is a soft touch of elegance to the page. And I love the rambling journaling.

The water droplets dripping from the pearl drops is a great idea! Such pretty snow photos, Barbara!

There is something so quite and pure about the first blanket of snow. Love how you arranged the photos and did your title work.

There is a lot going on here, but it is all very effectively blanketed in snow. Lovely work!
