We're Home

My friend Megan sent me photos of them going inside their new home for the first time. I thought I would create a page to document this momentous occasion.

Journaling reads: Megan and Cora had been living with Megans parents ever since her condo had been sold. They had been looking for months for the right home. Although frustrated at time, they held out, looking daily at the listings, and finally found the perfect home in Lakeside. Megan couldnt believe how excited Cora was as they both turned the key for the first time, and walked through the front door to their new home. Now it is MOVING TIME!

Layered Edge Overlays No. 2 http://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=30612&page=1

The process: I began with the Artsy Layered Template, and added the photo to the clipping mask of the top frame, and then added a photo to one of the paint layers on the left side of the template. The photo frame that was mostly hidden, I added the photo of the new house keys, which I allowed to extend outside the frame by added the photo above the frame layer, and masked all but the keys. The played around with the various other layers on the template, changing their color, and then added an Artsy Paper as the base, amazed at how each paper I tried, dramatically changed the layout. Once I zeroed in on the Artsy paper I was going to use, I went back to the various paint and texture layers on the template and played around with their opacity, blend mode and placement just a bit. I added the title and the journaling, and then added the various elements, adding shadows to each. I added the Layer Edge overlay along with the ScriptTease overlay, changing their color, and then added the brick transfer to two of the corners, and called it FINISHED!!! Such a big day for these two!
