Several years ago we visited Yellowstone National Park and was greeted by this jovial park ranger! We were so excited to get our "senior" park pass!

The Process
I began with the solid white watercolor paper from AP Mountain High. Overlay 1 was layered on the page. Transfer 4 was layered under it, duplicated and the blending mode was changed to color burn with a reduced opacity. These two layers were duplicated and flipped horizontally and blended together to span the page. Several brushes from Wood Textures 1 were clipped to the layers to give them more texture. Brush 2 from Mountain High 1 was layered onto the page. Color was added by layering transfer 3 (resized larger) and clipping it to the trees. The transfer was duplicated and the blending mode was changed to hard light. The photo of the park ranger was clipped to a fotoblendz. A layer mask was added to the fotoblendz and portions of it were hidden to better shape the image. These layers were merged and an inverted mask was added. I began brushing back the image with a soft textured brush. The same technique was used for the card. Word art, brushes, more transfers and embellishments were added to complete the page.
