Journalling reads: This week has been a really busy one. It started with everyone still sick, we were planning on taking
Logan to clinic so
that the health visitor
could take a look at his eyes, but since he was screaming all night long no-one really had the energy to go out. We called the doctors and asked for a home visit since both of the kids were ill. They werent exactly very nice about it. We were told we would have to wait for a doctor to call us back. When they called back they were very rude, basically they expected me to drag two sick kids (both running fevers and really really sick) out in the pouring rain and take them on the bus down to the doctors surgery. I refused and insisted that a doctor came out to them. Eventually a doctor did come she took their temperatures and said that they werent that high then she decided to start lecturing me on how many patients she could have been seeing in the time it took her to do a home visit. Somehow I managed to keep my temper under control, still not sure how I managed it. It always makes me really
mad when doctors
try and make me feel guilty. I only ever call them when my kids are really poorly. The doctor left us with a prescription for paracetamol and a cream for Logan. He has nasty Double Conjunctivitis and Impetigo as well as some unknown viral infection. She said Lukas has a perforated eardrum and a viral infection. We are supposed to make an appointment at the doctors in two weeks to have his ear checked on. Since Tuesday was also Pancake day we decided to have pancakes for dinner, golden syrup for Lukas, lemon and sugar for Mark and banana, whipped cream and nutella for me. Wednesday was the 7th anniversary of losing Gaiebraille, it seems to have gone by so fast. We lit a candle in memory and since I couldnt find my usual angel candle holder I used one Lukas had made me at school. The week started to get a little better on Thursday. Logan decided it was time to take his first steps. He was holding onto his swing and took 3 tiny steps around it before he started to topple over. I didnt manage to capture his actual first steps, but he was more than happy to repeat it again for Daddy to see. I had to rely on Mark to take the photos since I was scared he would fall.
