Week 52-7

This page is in the general format and style I've used for the entire year of 2015, but with more of the journaling and storytelling I hope to include in 2016.
Supplies from Anna Aspnes:
Background is a paper from ArtPlay Palette Oasis http://www.oscraps.com/shop/ArtPlay-Palette-Oasis.html with a textured paper from ArtPlay Palette Sweet Baby http://www.oscraps.com/shop/ArtPlay-Palette-Sweet-Baby.html in Linear Burn mode, with additional transfers from APP Oasis.
Frames are from FotoSquared Template Album No 1 http://www.oscraps.com/shop/FotoSquared-Template-Album-No.-1.html.
Additional transfers and elements from:
ArtPlay Palette Remarkable (transfers behind photos) http://www.oscraps.com/shop/ArtPlay-Palette-Remarkable.html
ArtPlay Palette Remember (brad, word art) http://www.oscraps.com/shop/ArtPlay-Palette-Remember.html
Abstract FotoBlendz No 5 http://www.oscraps.com/shop/Abstract-FotoBlendz-No.-5.html
ArtPlay Palette Metro Graffiti (stitching) http://www.oscraps.com/shop/ArtPlay-Palette-Metro-Graffiti.html
ArtPlay Palette Sweet Christmas http://www.oscraps.com/shop/ArtPlay-Palette-Sweet-Christmas.html
ArtPlay Palette Autumn Elegance (tape) http://www.oscraps.com/shop/ArtPlay-Palette-Autumn-Elegance.html

Process:
After creating the background as above and placing the main photo with an Abstract FotoBlendz mask and the additional photos with a triple frame, I had a plain page :) I added another photo of the puzzle in the background using a vector mask and gradient blending.
Then I added the puzzle shapes using the Custom Shape tool, clipping papers from APP Remember to them. 'the puzzle' title is my handwriting, which I colored red after adding other red elements to spark the brownish page.
I wrote a lot of thoughts about puzzles in MV Boli. The dice and dominoes are internet clipart.
The final touch was the word 'traditions' in 1942 report.
I love your journaling and that you are looking forward to visiting those places.

Puzzles are part of our holiday tradition also. Great journaling and hope you get to visit the places!

when I was little, I so enjoyed working on puzzles during the holiday vacation. Such a great tradition.

Good luck! I would never have enough patience! A successful layout!

I really enjoyed reading your journaling and your holiday tradition with the puzzles. I never thought about puzzle shapes having names, but it makes sense they would. (Guess my next stop is Google!). I also really enjoyed reading about your process to create your page. Thanks for sharing that.
