What could be better than a week spent at the beach? The pictures speak for themselves...the weather was lovely in spite of patches of rain, there was plenty of great sunshine for beach time at the cabana, there ware sunsets on all but a few evenings. And oh how great is it that we went to an
East Coast beach and got to see sunsets? Thats one
of the unique benefits of Edisto Island, it has beaches spanningeast, south and west.
And no description of a week at Edisto Island would be complete without reference to the shells. Wonderful shells in enormous quantities lined the beaches, especially along the jetties. Its hard to imagine that many mollusks in the ocean. So many of them were just perfect, in lovely earthy colors. About 5 pounds of shells came home with me after this week.

May 7 & 8 - Sunsets on the western end of the island, at Beach Access points 35 & 36.
May 9 - I captioned this cloud I love being at the beach.
May 10 - These are the shells that came home with me, and finally, May 11, we said goodbye to Edisto Island.
