These are dogwoods in Calaveras Big Trees state park in gold country California where we went last weekend.
Supplies from Anna Aspnes:
I started with Anna Aspnes' papers from the Oscraps Comfort collab, then added my photos using a mask and some frames and stitches and postmarks from Travel Templates 1A, and another frame from Urban Threadz Framed No 1.
The dogwood brush in the background is from ArtPlay Palette Inflorescence.
The additional dogwood blossoms on the page are done from an extraction and using various blending modes.
The Wood Words are set to screen and lighter color.
I finished with Multimedia Branches and Doily Edge Overlays.

Journaling:
The ranger at the entry gate to Calaveras Big Trees told me the dogwoods were in bloom, especially those in the sunlight.
But this didnt prepare me for the intense beauty of the sight of them, lifting their
delicate greenish-white petals up to the sky, trying to reach through the tallest branches of the Giant Sequoia.
In the morning sunlight, and the quiet of the just-opening hour of the park, it was a sublime experience to see these lovely trees in their natural element.
