STEERING THE POT CHALLENGE – JULY 2025
Journaling:
Many modern people see a beautiful or fit body as the ultimate goal of their physical existence. Some do this in a proud and posing way (e.g., pouting, posing on Instagram, or taking selfies). We become slaves to social media, which models and dictates how we should look in order to be loved, noticed, and successful. We express approval and disdain in the comments. We alter our bodies through plastic surgery. We take health risks. We allow ourselves to be convinced that you're only a great woman if you have large breasts or puffy lips. Wrinkles - absolutely unacceptable. But our body is an essential part of our personality. Don't we change it through modification and adaptation? Are we ugly because we stay the way we are? Do we have to hide and submit to all these constraints? I emphatically say no. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We all are perfect in the eyes of right people.
