Process

This page is about the first spur-of-the-moment trip my husband took to Antelope Island, after we were married. And it marked the first of many as we discovered we both longed to get out and explore the world. We've never been anywhere really exotic, but I suppose thats not really what its about for us. Its about being free and witnessing the world around us. Even now that we have children we still take the occasional unplanned day trip here an there.

To make this page I started out by cropping the Artsy Layered Template down to 8.5 x 11 and then chose my favorite paperie from the Wanderlust APP. for my background.

Then I layered this photo of Antelope Island over my background and clipped it to the Fotoblendz mask to get the blended effect. I brought this photo in mostly for its awesome color and wanted it to act as a backdrop for my other photos, so I layered the wordstrip and text over the center of the photo and brought in scriptease brushes around the edge and blended them into my photo and background using the overlay mode. This softened the photo just enough to help my other photos pop against it.

Finally I added a few pops of dimension by adding the banner, multimedia butterfly and the button.
