... Waiting for the Rain

We have had one of the driest summers in 100 years. Last year the farmers were wondering when the rain will stop, this year they're waiting for the rain!

Process
Solid paper 2 from APP Blossom was used as the base. Solid paper 1 from Artplay Mini Palette Memento was layered over it with the blending mode changed to multiply (reduced opacity) to allow the cracks to show through. The photo was clipped to a fotoblendz mask (blending mode changed to color burn) and duplicated with the blending mode changed to hard light. Transfers and overlays from APP Blossom and APP Tangier were layered under the image with the blending modes changed to color burn. The sun transfer was added (blending mode changed to color burn) and a skribble sun place above it. A yellow and brown paint layer was clipped to the watercolor flowers. The background of the transfer flower was erased using the magic wand, blending mode changed to soft light and duplicated two more times. Word art, embellishments and MM Rain were added to complete the page.

Thank you for looking!
you can have some of ours then- more than plenty over here. Love that cluster in the corner.

amazing design, love how you've captured the heat with your colors and accents. aww, we feel your "rain pain" in Texas too.

We have always enough rain so you can get it for free! A great photo treatment, I love the raindrops and the cluster on the right side below, I also love the big text, a gorgeous page!

I really like this--visually, of course, but also relating to how some rain would be really great around here. Love your color saturation, which gives a sense of dryness and heat.

Oh my, your photo and it's treatment are great, two summers ago we had a terrible drought!
