you pulled me off to the side and you were kind of laughing. you start to tell me that on your way to the store you were talking to my dad. thats never good. he starts to talk about me and you realize that the man who has known me better then anyone my entire life doesnt really know me at all anymore. he's telling you that if i had my way i would leave everything behind and move back to reno. reno...the only place i consider home anymore. but you know better. you know i won't go back until i feel strong enough to face the past. you know i didn't run away. but you don't tell him that. you sit back and you listen and you soak it all up. he tells you to "be the voice of reason in my head" what he doesn't know is i've turned in to the voice of reason lately. if you had it your way you would snatch me and our new baby up and run back to reno. you hate being away from home. you came so far to prove to me things were going to change. i hope you know and understand how much this means to me. i understand the mistakes you made were just mistakes and i understand the sacrifices you have made to show me how much you love me. i appreciate you and what youve done so much. but dont worry, i have found my voice of reason.
